The Samus dancer was a little rough looking, but so were most of those women.  That tends to be the situation with most burlesque dancers though. They're usually ex-strippers who either weren't quite hot enough to make a lot of money or were too creative and decided stripping didn't let them be artistic enough.

No, they have it completely upside down.

NBA Jam coming out for the HD systems helps the Wii version.  When it was announced as a free add-on for the re-launch of their NBA franchise it diminished the value of the Wii version.  I certainly changed my purchasing intention -- why pay for something that's ebing given away elsewhere.  I am sure EA's focus testing told them the same.  NBA Jam is going to sell well on the Wii, regardless of whether HD versions are sold or not.  All the moms are going to buy it for hubby, all the old gamers who bought the Wii as their first Nintendo console since the SNES will buy it.  Sports gamers who somehow only have a Wii will buy it.

They wanted to use it to pump sales of Elite, they probably found it was a minimal value-add to the purchasers of anual sports-sim games, particularly if it was gimped.

I would say absolutely. Ace Atty? Monster Hunter? Street Fighter?  Have any of those had a 3DS reveal.
