I knew a girl who was obsessed with cos-playing. One time she told me she spent over 6 months and over $500 just to make a costume for one contest at a anime convention.
Pretty crazy.

I'm so excited, yet so worried at the same time! I want the game to be great...but I just can't shake this feeling that it'll be a disappointment.
Anything less than Prime will be seen as a disappointment even though the game gets pretty good scores.

Ya know, I've never understood why they made Samus a dude with long blonde hair...?
Been wondering since the original NES game... Hmmm...?
Both Tifa's are hot but I got to go with the one with the bigger rack, she's hotter.
Ummmmm.... would this be a bad time to mention that my wife has spent over $1000 on a costume and I dropped over $800 on one myself?
But yeah it's not a cheap hobby if you really get into it at the highest levels. Hell, I've known a few people who've spent plenty more. It takes time, money, and usually a lot of both.
Prime is one of the greatest games of all time. For me I can count the number of games I think are better in two hands. Then again I think Prime is better than Super Metroid and I am not alone but I am not sure that is the majority. For me there is zero chance Other M will be on that level and it shouldn't have to be. I am expecting GBA level Metroid quality and if we get Super Metroid quality well then its extremely special.
If it's your hobby and you enjoy it, than all the power to you.
It's like mountain climbing, jet skiing, or scuba diving. I wouldn't spend that much money and time on a costume, like I wouldn't spend thousands of dollars like my big brother and cousins who love to jet ski. But there's nothing wrong with doing what you enjoy.
I probably spend that much on games and consoles, and some people think that's crazy.
So when I mean "crazy" I don't mean it in a disrespectful way, but more like my friend telling me "that's crazy" for getting so many games for my 360, as opposed to my Dad telling me "I'm crazy" for wasting money, if you know what I mean.
