I think that there are two types of Sonic players.
One is the people who have played since the MegaDrive, who are mainly fans of 2D Sonic games and didn't really play the 3D Sonic games so much. For those gamers Sonic Team will be giving them Sonic 4 [for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network] so they can pick the Sonic game they want to play.
The other is the ones who have played 3D Sonic games and felt that the game was too difficult. Sonic Colours is the game for those types of players. It's still a 3D Sonic game but the controls are more user-friendly; it's an easy to pick up and play type of game.
This doesn't bother me that much. It's not the difficulty that I care about, so much as the level layout and there were a few other comments about the colour powers giving him opportunities to find new routes through a level. Multiple routes and options to find that one "perfect path" through the level is my favorite thing about the series and kind of what's been missing from a lot of the games lately.

I'm not buying the Playstation branding on the cell phone, or that it will be the PSP2, or that the PSP2 will have phone capabilities.
We've heard this a billion times before, with both Sony and Microsoft.
Will Sony produce a phone that has iPhone or Droid like capabilities (or even be a Droid)? Absolutely. Will they try to get their existing PSN store on the phone? Absolutely. But will it be the next PSP or carry the brand? NO WAY.
This will be a phone with games, not a gaming system with a phone.

The game will be fine. This is the usual PR speak, it means nothing. Colors will be just as tough to MASTER as the other 3D Sonics. Usually those games are hard cause of control issues, camera and gliches, a better control scheme will be welcome.
