What and for how much is more important.
I'm done with them. For me, nearly every console runs its course, and I just move on. I looked at my games, and realized that I would never play most of them again, so I figured why not get some extra cash? I already sold six Wii games (the most popular ones), and made $165, which was really nice.
EDIT: Even more previews, everyone likes it. The only issue being the weird transition to first person.
As we've mentioned in our previous looks at the game, the action in Other M has seen some changes and marries some of the elements from the previous first-person games with old-school 2D gameplay. Our play time let us dive a bit deeper into how it all works together, and we have to say that almost everything feels right. The platforming and shooting feel good, thanks to tight controls and new mechanics that keep things fun. Samus' standard moves work like a charm and, as always, can be enhanced by finding new abilities and upgrades. The ability to "concentrate" and refill your missiles and one health bar is an interesting addition to the mix. We're fans of Samus' new dodge, the overblast attacks, and the lethal strike moves on downed enemies. Anyone who has played a Team Ninja game should be right at home with these new additions to the arsenal, because they most definitely have a ninja, albeit a space ninja, feel to them.
The first-person mechanics in the game, while much improved since the last time we played, because of tighter transitions and controls, still break up the flow of action. While we like how smooth the transition between first- and third-person is, from what we've played so far, it still doesn't flow with the action as well as we would like. Hopefully we'll have a better feel for it once we can log more time in the game.
Sweet.
You can always buy them for much less on a future virtual console if you want any of them back.
I was looking at my ridiculously large (and now worthless) PS1 collection the other day. I'll never get to those games -- and by the time I've played through my PS2 and XB collections I'm not sure I'd want to play the PS1/N64 games I have.
If you ever want to sell some PS/PS2 stuff I'm your man.
Not that I would sell, but the shipping from Australia to Mexico would probably kill the deal.
My underwear is all stretched out due to my manhood -- they would serve no purpose for regular men, except perhaps as a mankini.
As for rarity, in the PS1/ PS2 catalog there were not many truly "rare" games. I have some cool Japanese games for PS1 N64 and PS2. Lots of variety though. I have to make a collection video soon. Man, I wish I was at my house today, now I'm in the mood to check out the Japanese N64 games I have.
With remote nunchuck controls you would not need a first person view anymore. Just point and shoot. A shame really, because it would be a more elegant and simpler solution than they have now. The 'casuals' will find the view switching confusing.
Ummm... What? I loved Arkham but... it had a story? Really?

TIPPLE TALK SEGMENT
Activision:
"I think we could have done better on the revenue side," said Chief Operating Officer Thomas Tippl. In addition to the strength of the dollar hurting revenue, "some of our new releases did not perform up to expectations," he said.
"Shrek Forever After" and the shooter "Singularity" are among these titles.
They did not really support Singularity did they? That was the impression I had.
No they didn't, which is a crying shame. It's a very good game. I personally like it more than Bioshock. But Activision didn't really advertise it or anything.
It was a miracle that Singularity was even greelighted by Activision. I think I read in Game Informer how it was incredibly difficult for Raven to get Singularity approved.
I'm guessing they said, "If you let us make this game and it doesn't sell, we'll work on Modern Warfare 3!"

It was hard but I have to stop with these impulse buying. Those games were great but I already beat them so there really was no point in getting them again other than having them in my collection.

Raven is a pretty good devloper, so maybe it was a vanity project for some talented people inside the company to keep them/ raise morale. Ah well, I'm sure I'll pick it up when it's $15.
Speaking of games picked up cheap has anyone played Turok for PS3/360? I had the impression it was universally loathed, but it's actually a prtty good game. It has dinosaurs, you use an bow and arrow for sniping, a knife for some gnarly melee action and then there are the regular space marine weapons (but no shotgun).
It's surprisingly difficult with poor checkpointing, but other than that nicely atmospheric. The herbivore dinosaurs leave you alone -- that's pretty cool.
It's a pretty good FPS. It's one of those shooters where it's worth playing for a cheaper price and when there's nothing left to play but you're still craving FPSs.

Exactly. That's why I'm playing it right now (I had nothing else left in the current gen FPS closet).
Why do you torture yourself, man!
