Well that goes without saying. It is an MGS title afterall.
I dont care about Marvel vs Capcom. Plus it needs Wesker.
Actually, it's better IMO, because there's a story mode for each character.
Seeing Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur Broken Destiny, it still boggles my mind that Capcom or Namco doesn't bring these games to the Wii. If it looks great and plays perfectly on the PSP, shouldn't the Wii be better?
Also, I mentioned Capcom because I'd love to see Super Street Fighter IV on the PSP. That'd be awesome...if it happened. I mean, they made a iPhone version for crying out loud!

ME:
Meh on the 360 Arcade Room games. Come on bring something a little more current out already.
Not yet. But how is it so far?

Yeah, only Hamster can be happy with that selection.
Asses!
Every once in a while a game comes along and you tell yourself: "If I had to play one game for the rest of my life..."
I can already tell Monster Hunter is one of THOSE games.
Unlike the demo, you start from the ground up. You design your character with some modest customization. You start out simply wearing clothes. NOT the ass-less chaps the villagers wear, unfortunately, but it doesn't matter, you'll be buying armor and covering up a few minutes after starting the game anyway...
The missions start simple: gather resources to rebuild your Hunter's Camp, gather Iron Ore to upgrade your weapons, dive for some fish to learn how from the Chief's son.
I admit, it's hard to stay focused once you hit the field though. You immediately want to explore, see the sights and just find everything your new world has to offer. The environments are truly breathtaking. The world, the monsters and the fluidity of their animation are unrivaled on the Wii. (Did I mention the game has 16:9 wide-screen support?)
Another IMPORTANT note: GET THE CLASSIC CONTROLLER PRO TO PLAY THIS GAME ! ! ! (...and any other game that uses the CC for that matter.) Its design mimics the Dual Shock, yes --BUT-- to me, it feels even better! The grips, the distance of the sticks, the shoulder buttons... W-O-W! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
I'd LOVE to be able to play this game with some of you! Any doubts about controls, ease of play or difficulty, whether or not this game was going to be too niche for non-Monster Hunter fans to pick up... EVERYTHING falls away after playing the game for a short while. The layout of the controls becomes second nature very quickly and you don't feel quite as overwhelmed as you did in the demo. You are given weapons, items and missions in baby steps, so you learn things MUCH easier in the proper game.
I am taking a week off next week to get some R&R. Between this and SSFIV, I am going to be in (Capcom) GAMER'S HEAVEN ! ! !
Thanks for the impressions.
I know what you mean. Depending on the game's success, I think Capcom said that they're going to keep adding missions online. Also, I think I said this in Aspro's forum thread on buying a system for one game, I'd say Monster Hunter Tri is a system seller and I could easily see myself getting a Wii just for this game!

It's a PSP Game? Oh wow.
Kinda disappointing, but hey, it should do very well over in Japan. Interesting that you're not playing as Kazuma.
Cheer up man! I don't think I EVER remember you saying you weren't in a good mood.
As for your comment Yoda... I don't think I've given up my turn yet. I gotta tell you, I still don't feel quite the same since I had my whole heartburn/fatigue/chemical inhalation episode. It's been a few weeks and I'm unable to shake this funk.
Between a new game to obsess over (Monster Hunter) and the promise of an entire week of free-time next week, I am hoping to turn that around.
...getting kind of groggy, thankfully, so I should be hitting the sack soon.
Dang it. How am I going to get this with no money! I'm having enough trouble saving enough for Monster Hunter Tri and Super SFIV!!!
I guess I can try the demo. Saw the 1up review video. The game looks stunning!

Got any room? *gigitty gigitty*
I am so zonked, I can barely keep awake. I burnt through 9 levels of Devil May Cry 2 yesterday and it took me 6 hours to finish the last 3 levels today. Gah!
At least it's finished with. Not a bad game, not bad at all. Not great, not good. You spend a lot of time shooting enemies that are off the screen. No real reason to play it though. Not as well thought out as the first one.
Interesting note about the game that rarely comes up is that it is 2 discs, one for Dante one for Lucia. It only mentions this once in the manual though and no where else, so I wonder how many people thought the second disc was the second half of the game and gave up on it after 9 hours...
In any case, I only beat one disc, but I'm taking that as a beaten game. On to Blood Will Tell.
Mechs, giant alien bugs, and even bigger explosions. What's not to like? Oh yeah, I guess it could do with less ridiculous characters which seem to have jumped out of Devil May Cry 4 or something, but whatevever, you don't play such games for the storyline.
It's a shame the multiplayer is more or less dead (at least for the Colonies edition, which has cross platform play with both PC and 360 users via Live). There are a few matches to find but I've yet to play Akrid Hunter which is what I wanted to try as it sounds like the most interesting of the modes, where a few players take on the roles of overpowered aliens and a team of humans try to defeat them. The standard team vs was pretty decent though. It still looks good too.
It shares (few) elements with Monster Hunter for sure, though being primarily a linear shooter it's much easier to get into. I hope said elements have been expanded in the sequel, as they seem to be in certain trailers and other media. Oh well, now I'm even more confident in the sequel's quality, even if it seems to be clunky and not so great to some people, probably those more used to Western developed first or third person shooters and what not.
The VS suits are really sweet though, I can't wait to use them and all their new varieties in a bigger, better game.
