It can't possibly be worse than that abortion of a game that FFX was. Linearity isn't much of a problem to me as long as the game remains cohesive, focused and well paced.
I'm thinking of doing the same and skipping ODST.
I'll probably use the $20 credit I get from Galaxy 2 to get ODST. Amazon has it for $30 now.
Playing Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil tonight. Wow! It's still hard for me to believe that the original Xbox was capable of this level graphics.
Those mavens at Vicarious Visions probably applied what they learned from That's So Raven.
I give them credit (read blame) for starting the audio logs, they did it way before Fallout, Metroid, Dead Space etc...

Beat That's So Raven on GBA. Played a whole bunch of various baseball games from the generations. Hot Shots for PSP. Started FF5Advance, which Yoda, you would like if you have not played it. And started DMC2, am about 6 chapters into it.

Anyway, I played and beat Sam & Max - The Penal Zone. Really great stuff, can't wait till the next game in May. Since the Gears 3 announcement, I've been getting back into Gears 2 - rather fun.
I'd also like to say I'm enjoying Dead or Alive 4, but I'm too busy getting my arse kicked due to my lack of skills/CHEATING PIECE OF SHIT AI.

Man, imagine a Indiana Jones game made like Uncharted!
It'd be awesome, but I doubt LucasArts has the talent of Naughty Dog to pull something like that off.
I guess Nathan Drake is the Indiana Jones for a new generation...NAH! Harrison Ford will ALWAYS be the original and the best!
But Uncharted's fun though.
