On a related note are Cosmic Challenges. Similar to the various comet challenges in Galaxy 1, you can unlock these more brutal tests of skill and patience by finding and collecting special oversized coins in a level. One example was described to me thus: the level with the red/blue platforms adds a timer AND 100 purple coins, among other obstacles. At least now I can go into the final version of the game knowing I will never complete everything.
So you need to find hidden coins in the levels to access the comet challenges. Cool.

I do too, but I think htey are in danger of being Bungiefied and being associated with only one franchise.

Yeah... Not sure wtf they're doing, basically spoiling every boss and its ecology videos... I mean, I had seen that dragon before but not its ecology CG, or the full intro of the fight. I don't think they should do that. I'd advice against watching anything more from the Monster Hunter channel, aside from the funny ironbeard videos.
