Gamespy review Final Fantasy 13
4.5/5 - Thank goodness for the battle system, then, because it saves the game while you're wincing through the saccharine banter and waiting for the training wheels to spin off.

Coming to the end of Miles Edgeworth now, also last night finally put the last case of Phoenix Wright 3 to bed, for the second time.
You know Edgeworth is a pretty good game, better than 4 I would say. But playing that last case in PW3 brought home the emotional investment that's there in those games. Edgeworth really doesn't have the emotional ties to the cases, which in the end means that they don't pack that punch.
I know...
Yeah I'm a big fan of the revived Tomb Raider series, but they definitely still feel like they're not as good as they could be. They still don't match the magic of the first 2 games.
I think they try to make the games too "hollywood" in a way. Instead of focusing on what made it special in the first place.
What made it special in the first place?
The nude cheat.

YEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWCCCCCHHHHH ! ! !
To answer your question. No. Not yet really. I have been focusing on FFXIII.
I was trying to eliminate the wang iron picture from my memory.
The feeling of isolation, of being the first person to enter a tomb in ages. The focus of exploration and atmosphere well above combat. The size of the worlds. The insane platforming. And Lara's pointy Madonna boobs.
It always looked kinda shit to me, until Crystal Dynamics took over. I heard worrying stories about controls and cameras and got the impression that it was the boobs and character that sold the game.
But this is from an outsider hearing 3rd hand impressions of the game.
The mental image or the real pic?!
