I think it's safe to say "yes they are." Between the PC version and the Wii version they've done pretty well for themselves. Very curious to see what their next game will be. It's been hinted about for over a year now so it's about time for them to show something.  Hopefully something will be announced at GDC.

Wow. Just like the new full games released on a Nintendo system the top ten list is dominated by Nintendo games. It really is a fascinating running theme that both helps and hurts them. I know there's some really top notch third party stuff on the VC. I'd really be interested in seeing where the sales fall for those games.

You can understand some of those games being popular, some are legendary and games like mario are still pushed today, so mario and sonic and mario galaxy and mario party etc are keeping the character relevant and getting people interested in the old titles.

Good but long forgotten or neglected titles like Cybernator, R Type or Shinobi aren't going to be putting up massive numbers.
