Holy crap. They are going to hell for that.
I thought Iga was working at a crane engineering company, not IGN. That sounds like one of his headlines over here.
EDIT: Looks like they took that page down.
Yeah, the way it was being talked about I figured sub-200,000.
So is this game about coffee or dancing? The Grinder sounds like a Tim Robbins movie about an aging man who falls on hard times and has to work at Starbucks.
Yeah, inflamatory editorial BS from this site now.
You've really got a bug about Bioware huh?
Wish I could retrieve the post, essentially the Conduit outsold the likes of Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena, Jericho and Call of Juarez on 360.
Defintely now because the wii version will be the ugly stepsister, not poor ugly brother. Sisters are worse.
A little. I'm not saying there games are bad. I'm enjoying Dragon-Age.
Just think they're still slightly overrated, and ever since they said that crap about JRPGs, I think they're a bunch of arrogant, pretentious turds!

New avatar?
Yeah but Far Cry was a port of a game that came out on the original Xbox a month before the 360 came out. And on that platform, its one of the highest rated shooters on the system. Its better than Halo 2 in fact.
And I think most early 360 owners like me already bought this game on the Xbox1, hence the poor sales.
Apparently it sold 580,000 on Xbox 1. Still not as many as I expected. I think it was a game that got hurt by the 360 quite a bit.
If it was a 2004 release I think it manages 1 mil easily. Great game.
Dante's Inferno
Dante was not an ex-crusader and he did not sew cloth crosses into his chest.
He didn't beat up Death and steal his scythe, nor was he trying to rescue his girlfriend from Satan and, most importantly, he didn't use any combo attacks he'd learnt from God Of War.
Ignoring the breathless stupidity that underpins the whole concept there's also the equally shameful issue of how closely this copies Sony's PS2 classic.
The roaming beat 'em-up is a crowded genre and with Bayonetta just out and God Of War III coming in March this has an uphill battle to become relevant.
Not to mix infernal metaphors but in gameplay terms it never gets any closer than Sisyphus and his boulder.
Like an expert forger, Visceral Games (Dead Space) have copied each element of God Of War with great precision.Although like any copy many of the more subtle nuances have been lost.
Combat is gory and exciting but there's little need to learn specific combos as button mashing works fine throughout.
There are plenty of moves and magic powers to unlock with collected souls but these are just as superfluous.
Considering that the game is almost solely about fighting (there are some switch-flicking and block-pushing puzzles but they're insultingly simple) the lack of any depth or interesting challenge is a serious problem.
The game tries to keep you on board with some giant monsters to ride on and the absolving or punishing of enemies.
This earns you more souls but quickly begins to seem a tedious intrusion.
The shallow combat would become boring a lot earlier than it does if not for the game's trump card: the art design.
It sticks surprisingly closely to the original text, forcing you to fight such questionable evils as un-baptised babies, gluttons and adulterers.
The game itself has nothing interesting to say about the clash between 14th and 21st century morals though and just uses the imagery as titillation.
There're some disgusting visuals in the game but as the constant nudity makes plain it's not to make a point, just take undemanding minds off the combat.
The level design is similarly monotonous and copying God Of War's fixed camera is a needless limitation.
The main issues aren't technical though but conceptual. In dishonouring two classics the end result isn't hellish torture, just purgatorial tedium.
IN SHORT: The works of both Dante Alighieri and David Jaffe are defiled in this shallow and puerile actioner.
PROS: Much of the imagery and art design is impressively grotesque. Excellent music and plenty of moves.
CONS: The game has none of the depth of God Of War with mechanical combat, repetitive design and mindless puzzles.
SCORE: 5/10 Out: Now (UK)

Agreed. I think personally i unofficially made that decision when reading reviews and impressions of the US release.
