Max and the Magic Marker Aussie Nintendo review
it's a very enjoyable, laid-back platformer with some really clever puzzles in its later stages.

iWATA STORY FROM DIFFERENT SOURCE THAN ABOVE:
Mentioned first by Iwata was the new main entry in the Pokemon series. This first main release since 2006's Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, the unnamed title will feature a new land, and new Pokemon. Developer Gamefreak is also incorporating some new play mechanics into the game.
DS players can also look forward to GoldenSun DS this year. This was announced at last year's E3.
Two mystery titles from Nintendo's supplemental earnings report were revealed to be major RPG releases for the Wii. Xenoblade is in development at Monolith Soft for Wii release this Spring. It was previously known as Monado. The Last Story is a true RPG that's being developed jointly by Nintendo and Mistwalker. It's set for release this year and aims to be a new type of RPG.
Wii owners can also look forward to Metroid Other M. Also announced at last year's E3, this new take on the Metroid franchise is being developed by a trio of forces: Metroid creator Yoshio Sakamoto, Tecmo's Team Ninja, and a visual production team. A teaser official site just went live for the game, which is due for release this Spring.
Iwata provided a glimpse at some of Nintendo's plans for this year's E3. The company plans on showing software for the Wii Vitality Sensor, a peripheral that first saw its debut at last year's E3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Zelda will also be shown at E3.
You can see Japanese language slides and video from the investors meeting at Nintendo's investor relations page
I caught that one too. It was ok . I'm a little more forgiving for my horror/ creepy movies since they are a little rare. I sometimes watch stuff from that horrorfest festival but I don't think I've come across any gems. I also got into all of the asian horror.
Afterlife is an ok fantasy type whimsical japanese movie.
Eden Log was interesting...just going to watch moon this weekend. I guess i should move this to a movie thread. Maybe we should start a movie book club type of thing.
I just saw Iga's comment - heh can't argue there
There are plenty of fields in medical ultrasound so that is what I am sticking to.
You're going to specialize in ball ultrasound, right?
So MS's investment in the Gooch isn't paying off?

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
Yeah but Lost Odyssey is basically a new Final Fantasy as well. I mean even the battle music is nearly identical.
And because of that, he absolutely destroys Billy Corgan as a musician and a guitar player. LOL he is a weird lookin' dude...but its funny cuz he knows it and flaunts it!
No, I meant it like this:
Square was going bankrupt so they made one last game. The last chance they had and they called it Final Fantasy. Of course it become a huge success and it saved Square.
Now Mistwalker had many failures in the past. So they are making one last game. And they call it Last Story. It seems like it is made in the same circumstances as FF, but probably not as dire. The name is kinda the same too. Instead of final it is last and instead of a fantasy it is story.
The backgrounds and sprites are completely redone and makes the game feel new! The first one is definitely a classic which never came out outside of Japan. I'm playing that right now and I can't believe I'm enjoying it so much!
The second one is the PS1 classic, which I never played before.
I thought I was wasting money when I saw these on sale but I'm glad I picked them up! My PSP has been getting some dust but these games are just what I needed for it.
Next up is Lunar, which I can't wait for those!

Ooooh I gotcha.
Still I'm betting the game is very FF, just like LO was. Which is fine by me.
The Wii actually has a pretty good lineup planned for 2010....the best one since 2007 in fact. I just hope they plan the releases of these games well and spread them out enough to keep a good flow and give each game its moment. Because we all know how easy it is for unproven IP's to be forgotten on modern Nintendo consoles if they don't come out at just the right time and have decent marketing behind them.
^That happened to my 360 after I sat it upright instead of laying it down flat like I used to do.
I put it back down flat, and the controller light was in the wrong spot....like it still thought I had the console standing.
There's a red power LED on my Atari.
TBH, with the crappy quality I've experienced so far with both Nintendo and Microsoft consoles this gen, I almost want to go back to my simple yet extremely durable Atari 2600, which has never had a single thing go wrong with it in over 20 years.
Yeah Nintendo's indestructible image really took some damage this gen with the Wii and DSlite. Still not as nearly as bad as PS2 and 360 though.
It's kind of funny you say that. With the exception of the PS2, no other console broke on me quicker than the 2600. Didn't make it to 4 years. Still it's not the nightmare console that was the PS2. Nothing ever broke as quickly or as many times as that piece of crap.
All electronics have a failure rate, it's inevitable. The only meaningful way is to look statistically at the failure rate as a whole. I don't really know much about the Atari in that respect to say.
