Yeah there were only a couple games in that video that I didn't recognise either Leo.
I received Metroid Prime Trilogy as a Christmas gift. I really enjoyed the first game and haven't played the other two so I'm really looking forward to playing all the games starting from the first one.
Played more Another Code. Its getting better as you do more investigating. Shame that you play the game from a side on perspective as the cel-shading is gorgeous, one the few occasions you do go into an over the shoulder view it looks great, a Tales style RPG with these visuals would look superb. Unfortunately the curse of the HDTV strikes again, jaggies, loss of definition, colour etc.
Clicking through dialogue is still a pain in the ass, but the story has got a tad more interesting, just a tad though. At its core its not that different from clicking through dialogue in a Bethesda game but it has no voice acting and a two way conversation. Which means more reading and more clicking and more waiting. It can be excrutiating.
And you can't freely explore the map, its like Killer 7 on rails press A to move along invisible rails.
There is so much stuff to route through in the 360 degree environment interiors that Elebits style object manipulation would be superb for this game, what a missed opportunity. They go completely overboard with desriptions for individual items. For example in a normal adventure game you click on an area and it would say "its a collection of useless pots and pans" in this game you can click on every pan and it will give you info on each one. There can literally be 20 things to look at on one shelf unit, all of which may be useless to the story/game progression.
Somehow I missed this one. My wife is giving me the evil eye right now, I'm laughing out loud at the comp screen. the first one.
?
BWAHHHHHHHHHH ! ! !
The one and only thing that you have that is smaller than GG's!
I am the walrus sucks.
I noticed that my 17" HDTV gives a much sharper picture than the 50 incher. Still jaggy though.
Rabbids is cool.
Played a bit of Metroid Trilogy and it's very cool. For the most part the controls came quite naturally to me. I'm not quite used to turning Samus around by moving the pointer to the edges of the screen but I got the hang of it ok.
You did switch to advanced controls right? The turning is much more natural.
Remember that you can half press the lock on button to get camera lock for accurate free aiming.
You silly little rabbit, change it now. NOW DAMMIT!
Happy birthday Papa Steel!
Hint: it's a thong.

"Remember that you can half press the lock on button to get camera lock for accurate free aiming. "
I should explain this, when I say camera lock I dont mean when samus locks onto an enemy. Wii IR FPS controls have an invisible bounding box so when you turn the pointer to the edge of the screen, the screen turns. If you only half depress the lock on button you get camera lock which means the viewpoint wont turn when you point the pointer to the edge of the screen (vertically or horizontally) and you can accurately aim to get those irritating small flying enemies and the like. Try it out.
