I didn't like how linear it was. You basically walk from one straight path to another straight path, maybe one or two branches. No overworld, just a map where you click where you want to go next. It didn't feel right. Still an excellent game and I love me some... crap what was the floating water game called, whatever it was I loved that. I found the combat system to be a bit boring. Didn't like the orb leveling up, they handled it better in FFXII. Its not my favorite, neither is FFIX and a bunch of people love that. I swear by FFVIII and a bunch hate that one. The great thing about this series is that it is always changing.
Forgot about it actually!
I just cried!
Buy it, or else.....
Modern Warfare 2 banned in Russia
Every copy of the console version of Modern Warfare 2 has been recalled from stores in Russia due to the content of the “No Russian” mission, better known as the controversial airport massacre level. Likewise, Infinity Ward has released an official patch for the PC and Steam versions of Modern Warfare 2, entirely removing the mission from the game.
Pending validation from the Russian government, the censored console versions of the game are expected to be released within less than a month, with the mission removed.
The game’s content has raised the ire of the Russian gaming public as well as a number of politicians who object to its portrayal of Russia’s armed forces as terrorists who invade the United States and subsequently erect statues of dead terrorists in Washington D.C.
Russian gaming website GotPS3 voiced their anger over the game’s storyline, which they criticized as catering to a primarily American audience with total disregard towards other cultures, especially the Russians, whom the game depicts as terrorists.

As it is, Russian gamers who wish to play the game will have to choose from purchasing the gutted Steam version, ordering the US/EU version of Modern Warfare 2 from eBay, or waiting for an indefinite period of time for the censored version to be released, pending validation.
Well I am not surprised it was banned in Russia, but Russia is not a big console market anyways! Should not harm them much

David Wise leaves Rare
From his facebook:
Quote: "I think the business of Rare has changed a great deal, and at the moment there is just not the opportunity to create the soundtracks that Rare were fortunately very famous for."
Rare's music department really has taken a hit this past year. Grant Kirkhope, Steve Burke, and now David Wise. Robin Beanland, David Clynick, Eveline Novakovic, Jamie Hughes and Martin Penny are the ones left that I know of.
Rare is dying.
Guys do I ever get a bike or car or wagon or mutant horse in Fallout 3? Walking around is getting old.
I'm at the radio HQ.
Dying? Rare has been on life support for years. Occasionally it looks like its coming out of the coma, but it never quite does.
Nope. Use quick travel.
I have a feeling Microsoft is gonna turn Rare into a low-talent casual only company in the next few years.
Oh well, there's always the great N64 legacy.
But that only works once you've got to a location
So anyway what did you guys do with the cannibal blood drinkers in Fallout 3? I just placated them verbally and walked away.
Boo.
Anyone defused the bomb, I need to be a certain level.
So this guy in megaton refused to come out in the wastelands with me, but can I recruit others? If so, how?
If only they'd release those games on the VC.
Bah, I still think Rare is as great as they've ever been. Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Viva Pinata, and Banjo Nuts & Bolts were all excellent games.
Read a faq, I forget. Save often and use different slots cause somethings can't be reversed.
I like that though. It heightens the sense of exploration and venturing into the unknown, which is what hooked me about the game. Oblivion was too flowery and colorful but I like Fallout 3's dark atmosphere, especially at night time. Makes it exciting not knowing what's around the corner!
Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying Fallout 3...a "core" game and not that Wii casual junk you always play!
(continues to play Mario Super Sluggers)

Rare died when Banjo N&B did not sell well.
The main reason I bought a 360 was for Rare's franchises, and those appear to be lost now, or worse, turned into Natal mini-game fests. *shudders*
Good games but not even close to their N64 classics. Their N64 games were some of the biggest events of the year back then....their new games are just good filler waiting for OTHER developers major events.
Fallout needs more flowers. I read in a hacked computer that the vault held some sort of device that could regenerate the world. I hope this happens at the end. DONT SPOIL THE END
I want some horse or mad max bike to ride around on though. Or a frigging run button wouldn't hurt. The aiming is pretty painful, well compared to the IR aiming I'm doing on COD. I like the vats system, reminds me of Hybrid Heaven on the N64.
Yep. Rare is dead and I wonder what the reinvention will be.
Rare was/ is dead. This guy was just slow in realizing it.
C'mon man, any response to that is a spoiler...
you're wrong.
