Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileForza 2 was the exact same thing as Forza 1! I don't know I'm not a huge fan of the franchise. To me they feel like soulless Gran Turismo ripoffs. They may go for slightly more realism to try to be more "sim" than GT, but IMO that's why the fun factor isn't really there.
I think more people would take Rabbids Go Home seriously if it didn't have such a ridiculous name. Something like The Rabbid Adventure or whatnot. Even then, its hard to take such retarded looking creatures serious.
Different computer, same browser. Hmmm
It's getting good reviews though. I was hoping for a couple of 9s though and maybe more of an adventure or platforming focus. But I guess the kart and speechless creatures negate that.
Kotaku review:
"Rabbids Go Home mixes the inanity of a good Saturday morning cartoon, the fluid movement of a Mario game (as good as you can get without the jumping), the collecting of ridiculous human stuff of Katamari Damacy and winds up serving a fun, easy comedy.
The game looks and sounds good, and, best of all, surprises with its warped sense of humor. It's another strong Wii game from a non-Nintendo company, adding to what's become an eclectic shelf of small 2009 Wii gems alongside Dead Space Extraction, House of the Dead: Overkill and Deadly Creatures. And this one doesn't even have "dead" in the title."
That's the thing, the game doesn't take itself seriously at all. It IS ridiculous; that's part of the point: The ridiculous-Rabbids contrasted against the overly-serious humans.
It's a (Comedy) adventure for the Rabbids story-line-wise, but the game itself is just genre-less fun. Calling this game an Adventure game is like calling "Police Academy" a "Cop" movie.
They may be weird looking, but their infectious wackiness and kinetic attitudes are contagious and you can't help but smile and continue playing, even though you have no idea why.
Apparently the Raving Rabbids games sold very well, so this could be a potential big holiday seller. I think it is well deserved! It's not going to be for everyone, but it does deliver on the hype that it generated, as it is DEFININTELY a breath of fresh air!
I hear that each of the 3 previous Rabbid party games have sold over a million each so hopefully this puts up high numbers so we get some solid platformers other than mario galaxy 2.
In other 3D Dot Game Heroes news, Gadget News recently posted a story about the game's similarities to Zelda. The site quizzed From on the issue, a conversation that went a little something like this:
Editorial Staff: There's some talk on the internet that it looks like The Legend of Zelda
From: Mm-hmm.
Editorial Staff: Did you receive permission from Nintendo.
From: Nope.
Editorial Staff: Not even a single call to Nintendo...?
From: We did nothing of the sort. We didn't tell Nintendo.
Editorial Staff: So it's like you were inspired by it, or an homage to it?
From: Yes, something like that.
Editorial Staff: Okay, I can accept that! Some shops were distributing bonus character data.
From: That's right.
Editorial Staff: There was a character who looked just like Zelda 1's Link in there. Is it Link?
From: No. It probably looks like it, but it's not.
Editorial Staff: Okay, I can accept that! Thank you.

One step too far, guys.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThat would be awesome if Dot Heroes get's a 360 release, I'd certainly buy it.
Just finished watching the first Halo Legends anime episode and it was very good, really solid production values. I can't wait until next weekend for the next episode. I'll definitely be buying the whole thing on DVD when it gets released early next year.
You can create your own character, that is a user creation, has nothing to do with From Software.
Wait! You mean that's NOT teh first pic of Zelda Wii?
Dammit all to hell! My day is ruined!
Actually it's included on a bonus disc
