Will the new FFCC game need stupid requirements like the GC one?
The producer has said that it will be a single player game, so no funny business. It's completely different. The GC game was a multiplayer hack and slash mostly though you could play it in single player relatively hassle free.

Nintendo sales:
DS:
Animal Crossing: Wild World - 10.57 M (1.04 M)
Wii:
Animal Crossing: City Folk - 3.22 M (3.22 M)
The number in the parenthesis are the amount it sold in this fiscal year (since april). Games like New Super Mario Bros. sold 3 million since april, thats like a 3 year old game...
Ownage. Wow though didn't think it would hit 3 million yet. City folk I mean. That reminds me there is a meteor shower tonight in Fortress.
Wii fit 14 million with an expensive peripheral? What? Damn new year fatties. Yes Steelo I am looking at you.
"While it's not rare for games to ship with bugs every now and again, it's pretty shocking when one ships with an issue that causes the title to stop working for everyone who paid. Those who pirated the game, as usual, continue to play with no issues."
All they're doing with this annoying ass DRM shit, ironically enough, is making MORE people go with pirated games....its more user-friendly and less hassle! Well done, morons.
As for the Sony PS4 stuff, not surprised at all. They're looking at how successful Nintendo has been re-using old tech and doing the same thing. But at least the PS3 is enough of a powerhouse that it won't suck so bad having old tech. I expect MS to do the same thing.....we're going to have MUCH cheaper consoles next-gen, it might even get back to consoles being an impulse buy on day 1 kind of thing.
I also expect PC games to advance quite far ahead of consoles because of this though, but maybe that's not so bad since it'll give them each their own identity again instead of how it is now, with consoles almost like mini-PC's.
This could really hurt MS though...since they rely much more heavily on PC to console software than Nintendo and Sony.
This looks like FF Zelda style. Along with Monster Hunter 3 this is really showing the results of a Japanese company investing in a project early and with the right attitude. Please, it has to release this year in the west....
I don't mean this in a bad way, but this game actually looks a lot like FF12 on the PS2....art-wise and technical graphics engine -wise. Not a bad thing, because that game is amazing looking for a PS2 game. I wonder if they are using the same engine?
I just hope the game is good, because I hated that fucking Gamecube game and BTW thanks for bringing back bad memories with those Cube pics.
OMFG.....sooo much better than what they ended up with. See this is what I like, nice and streamlined, without unneccesary bullshit:
Although it still has the lame avatars in the back, oh well. But yeah, this to me is a much better menu system, without a million pages to flip through with a bunch of lame events ads and other useless crap. Just a nice simple menu with easily understandable text. That first pic is all you need.
Is that actually happening Edge, that is much nicer. I always felt the Xbox menus had too much going on, which is why I much perfer the XMB on the PS3. But that is nice.
The new FFCC: Crystal Beares looks like a Zelda/Elebits lovechild. It looks nothing like the other FFCC games. Why the hell are they still calling it that?

No that was a prototype...and they went with the shitty NXE instead.

The alternate dashboard for the 360 looks nice but I still like the NXE better, I think it's great and I love the Avatars as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing them implemented more when more games like 1 Vs. 100 come out.
Not surprising to see that the possibility of a not as advanced PS4 rumoured. I fully expect both Sony and Microsoft to take a less technically advanced route for the next generation of consoles. I think Nintendo might beef up the Wii 2 a little more then simply being 2 Wii's taped together now that the Wii is a proven product. I'm thinking that next gen the 3 consoles will likely be on more equal terms in power.

I also like NXE better than the blades. It's all a rip off of the Wii though, basically they built channels and Mii's. They executed it well I thought.
I'd like to see some customization though, so you could scale it back if you wanted to .

How so? In a few years down the track there's not realy any difference between a smaller increase of power than there was five years ago. It's not like the PS3 is two generations ahead.

Because the PS3 is at least fully HD, with digital sound and blu-ray. Tech also isn't going to advance THAT far ahead of the PS3 to make it matter anytime soon.

Ninty are masters of model release timing. Even when it seems premature (like the DS launch when the GBA was still young) they still execute them perfectly.
I really don't see Sony breaking up their "ten year" (or close to it) philosophy. Look at the recalcitrance demonstrated on the PSP front. We are on the third remake of the PSP and they refuse to make any major changes to the hardware.
Now that everything is wireless and every home has 19 DS units those requirements would actually not be as onerous.

It's ... just insane how many really important things still come down to some dude making a typo.
Where have you been? Trying to be like me?
To be just like me, but you just can't see, "you ain't got the balls, son".
That's like the first thing that came to mind while reading your post, man.
