I find the whole idea of having to manually register kind of strange, here in Canada it's all automatic when you turn 18. They mail you your forms without you doing a thing. How do they keep track of jury duty with the voting system like that?

What do you guys think of the THQ closing some studios news? Sad it is, luckily de Blob is doing well.
They should. Rather than leaving their western release line up being spyborgs and Chop till you Drop.
My net connection is slow as hell at the moment and I have to send in my laptop to repair in a couple of days. Just don't have a lot of time at the moment.
The studios closing aren't ones that make games I care about. Sad to hear, the credit crunch is effecting everyone. This is why its more economical in these times to do a wider range of lower budget games. In business its called diversification, in gambling, spread betting. To make these high budget games, you are sinking a massive amount of cash for years with no guranteed payback. I wouldn't be suprised seeing casual only developers like Majesco profit.
