Oh my god.
EA = AWESOME.
Played the Tomb Raider Underworld and Banjo 3 demo's.
TRU plays A LOT like Legend, but more refined and polished. With what seems to be more of a focus on exploration. So it seems like its gonna be a vintage TR game. Controls still feel a bit ckunky compared to Uncharted or Persia though.
Banjo 3 is fucking beautiful....wow. Rare has hit a 360 highmark with this game's art and graphics. I mean, walking around showdown town is like walking around an insanely high budget animated movie. LOL, it feels weird having a town to walk around with inhabitants and shit in a Banjo game, almost gives it an RPG feel. So far I'm liking it, though I'm not sure how much as the game seems deeper than the demo shows.
Basically, you have to upgrade your vehicles to get to different parts of the town, so most of it is closed off at first. Collecting jiggies unlocks new worlds to enter, just like the old games. Each would has a set of challenges that allow you to get more jiggies. The notes are also back as well, as well as pretty much all the characters from the old games.
The only level you can go in in the demo is Banjoland....some kind of weird circus-like museum thing that pays homage to Banjo 1 & 2. Huge level.....and you can clearly see from one side to the other. So, so far so good with Banjo 3. Definitely picking it up.
EA Not Banning All Game Access for Forum Hijinks
So, it wasn't true afterall.
Deadly Creature Sceens:
I have to go out. But before I do.... what the hell happened to Deadly Creatures? It looks... good?
YES, I did it, I tried the super awesome jump shown below and I succeeded.
Okay I had to wall jump from the yellow L-block to just barely make it, but I made it. This game has more alternative routes and shortcuts than all the metroids put together.
It sure does! Add yet another must buy Wii game for me.
Edit: Oh, my home internets are fucked. I'll have to finally change ISPs. I'll probabloy be up for podcasting next weekend or the one after that one.
You guys are nuts. I've always thought Deadly Creatures looked like one of the better Wii games, design and graphically. Rainbow Studios are pretty talented technically, they were doing things early on the PS2 that most people didn't do until much later. So its not surprising they can make a good looking Wii game.
WTF happened to your sig?
Why is this relevant? Why is this jump important? Is this a way of showing off your penile attributes in Galaxy?
Yeah I don't really get it either. Isn't that basically how you have to get through that area anyway? Unless I see an 'Achievement Unlocked' for that in his Wii profile I'm calling BS on this.
Steel, normally you have to stay on that gray platform, and change orientation, so that you are not pulled into the dark matter by the changing gravity field. With this huge jump can skip a huge portion of the level, anf you will look cool doing it.
Archie I am doing these things because I can, and not for some stupid points. And I do not think Nintendo has foreseen this particular shortcut, but Bill Trinen did say that the gravity mechanic would make awesome shortcuts possible, so who knows. And besides you do not have my friencode anyways, so there
Methinks thou dost protest too much.
Who the FUCK is Bill Trinen, Iga?
That jump is amazing, I appreciate it Iga.
But yeah who the FUCK is Bill Trinen?
Blasphemy, Deadly Creatures has always looked good. GOTF!!!!
Well I may as well chime in to then. Who the FUCK is Bill Trinen?
The guy who does the translation of games and Miyamoto.
Sexy!
No Vader. GOTF will be the sequel: Ultimate Deadly Creatures, where you can take control of a Honey Badger and a whole colony of Driver Ants (RTS-style gameplay).
A better question: How do you guys NOT know who Bill Trinen is? *shakes head*
That is an awesome jump, Iga. I'm going to try that one myself the next time I play.
