gamingeek said:I'm only talking about up to the first 2 bosses in the single player. Add in the multiplayer which is tons more fun than the single player and the game is A LOT better than an 8.0 and the single player is steadily getting better with each level adding mechanics.
And the game is getting lots of free content over the summer.
I know but I am a single player guy first and really the only way I could get so excited to buy the game right now would be if the campaign were a classic level platformer
8.0 Galaxy without the expectations of actually being Galaxy sounds great.
I'm really loving Splatoon's SP mode now. I beat the 2nd boss, and I'm working on the 3rd act of levels. The level design just keeps getting better and better. I'm really enjoying how the game juggles shooting with platforming and mixes in just a tiny bit of puzzle solving here and there.

I'm a single player gamer too but the multiplayer is obviously the main event and it's fun as fuck, more so than the SP. That said for a game whose focus was never on single player, what they have presented so far is pretty decent stuff. But I would like for them to go full on COD/Halo mode for the next game. Make a proper shooter and flesh out the game world.

It's pretty fun, not hard at all. I think I prefer the arena style levels against fellow squidlings though.
I hope Nintendo patches in offscreen play, you might need two screens for the multiplayer but there isn't much need for it in single.
Interesting there will be 9 new maps, bringing the total up to 14 multiplayer maps
Also some of the maps already exist in the game and you can play them in single player - in fact me and Raven have played one already. So essentially they will just unlock these two maps, funny decision but it saves space downloading it on the HDD and it is free.
Ok this has basically become Mario Galaxy with a gun.
If this only had music as good.
This was awesome!
Felt more like a high speed platformer. People will love speed running these levels.
Ugh tried joining Nintyfan online.
In Mario kart you can watch the race while you wait, here you stare at some text or play some lame NES game. So I waited 4 minutes, a space didn't open up and the timer went back up to 3 minutes. At which point I quit. Surely they should kick a stranger out to a new game to let friends play together?
I'd rather not wait and just play randoms.

It probably wasn't me anyway my Nephew plays on my account sometimes he also posts to miiverse sometimes. He can only play single player on his account because I don't feel like paying a one time fee to let him log online since he is under 13.

But my nephew uses my NNID to play online.
Well, it's always nice to have a toystore nearby where you're still able to buy copies of Eledees and Zack & Wiki new. It's like the treasure cove gamers forgot. Not sure if I'll open the amiibo's up just yet. I know there's extra content to be unlocked if you own them, but I'll look into just what that extra content is before 'spoiling' them by opening them. They look great though, with different types of clear plastic. You can even see the level of paint in the guns themselves.
