Well try this trhead again. I recently saw Midnight Run cause of GG talking about it in the other thread, I enjoyed the movie, not great but a good time. I have a lot of movies I have not seen and I have Netflix. So you guys can pick what movie I watch, try to come to a consensus so I dont pick and choose.

Rules are:

It has to be on Netflix streaming.

I must be willing to see it.

I have not seen the movie yet.

I will try to watch 1 or 2 movies a week.

"The Other Guys".  Action comedy with Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg.  Quite fun to watch and very funny at times

___

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu

Just so it's documented, I will once again suggest Death to Smoochie.

The leading canidate at the moment. We probably have a few days before I watch a movie so dont go crazy naming stuff. Ask me questions, try to pin point the perfect movie for me to watch. I might try to keep a tally of who recommends me the best movies.

What the hell is paths of glory?

Lets not do lists try to give something more than a title. Robio did that yesterday.

Sorry, I thought we were playing Vader-Video-Bingo.

Stanley Kubrick's film with Kirk Douglas. Paths of Glory. 1957. Black and White (by choice of the director).

It's riveting. Kirk Douglas said it was his finest film.

Did you watch Ponyo?

Ghibli film. Beautiful animation. Endearing characters. Loved the ending.

That trailer is not a very good representation of the film. It's early Kubrick, can't miss.

Weekend at Bernie's I assume you have seen, so I won't go into detail.

Repo Man has a very video game/manga quality to it. Emilio Estevez.  Man I wish Grasshopper would make a game of that movie.  It's described as an "action-packed" cult classic.  Also described as "groundbreaking, punk-rock, sci-fi, black comedy" Which I'd agree with.

It's not a LOL type of thing, more of a constant WTF.

I only saw it last year based on a suggestion, it came out in 1984.

Go see all the 80s movies you missed, like the Goonies and Critters.

Midnight Run is hilarious, over here they censored all the swearing so me and my bro grew up watching it, then we caught the unedited version, good times.

Same goes for the Beast Master, suddenly Tania Roberts was nude. Grinning

Here is a suggestion, watch Sheena, Queen of the Jungle and try and spot the part where her loose loin cloth exposes her lady bits.

License to Drive is kind of in the guilty pleasure category for me, for cheesy 80's movies.  Two Corey's in it, and IIRC it ends with a crazy party scene, like all good 80's movies should.
