The reason I ask is there's a couple of very simple things you could do to possibly boost the site's organic search engine ranking. More site traffic is aways good after all, right? I even do this stuff for a living so I'm not entirely talking out of my ass for a change.
It was designed with some aspects in mind, such as the rewrite rules on the urls to make them more friendly. I know I need to update the menu scheme, though, because as it is those menu links aren't being followed.
Anyway, list them. I can't say when changes would occur, but if I'm not aware of it, it'll never happen.

All right here are the easy ones:
A. Add a brief site description to the title on the homepage
B. Add a sitemap if one doesn't already exist
C. Tag images on the homepage with descriptions
D. And on the off chance you haven't done it, register the site with Google and Yahoo.
This is all stuff that can be done in about 5 minutes. No sense in going through the more complicated ones right now without a full keyword analysis.

META elements including descriptions and keywords are already in place, as are ALT values for all images (though I was unaware of the SEO value of this).
Sitemap I looked at in development, but it was never implemented due to the dynamic structure of the site, though I should get something done with that. Just thinking quickly now, I think a cron job might actually do the trick quite nicely for that.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileYep, ALT values get picked up at least by Google. Granted Google changes their algorythim every 6 months so it's never a guarantee that it'll last. I saw the META elements in place so that's good. Their value is pretty low these days but it's still read more by Yahoo than any other engine.
But still add to the title. That one extra keyword that you can throw in there can be a help. Though until you do a keyword analaysis I probably wouldn't bother with it just yet. It won't really be effective until you know what extra word you'll use until you know what will benefit you.
Okay forums. We need a search thread thing.
Also on the pages, when you go to page 4 of the forums for instance there is no indication of what page you are on.
lastly the ability to subscribe to certain threads? I updated mega threads a lot so it would be easier for me to find them.

Already on the list
Recognized, but was too lazy to put on the list
RSS feeds are listed for each thread, as well as the ability to favourite posts

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileIn response to Steel's new signature, I'd like to suggest giving each user option to enable/disable viewing signatures. I'm only partially kidding. I'd really like to have that feature.
Yoda, because "404 Page Not Found" picture has been explained, I suggest changing it into this
Can you imagine someone getting a 404 errror at work?
Yoda, in response to Iga's gay pics, I'd like to suggest, if possible, that the Hide Post feature remain in place even after a page refresh. Currently, whenever I hide a post, it doesn't stay hidden. This is true in both Opera 9.64 and IE8 RC1.
Also, is there an RSS feed for GGWeekly posts? There's one for the news, but I don't see one for the posts. If there isn't one, that would be a very useful feature too.

The main purpose of Show/Hide is with regard to downvotes. Once a downvote point is reached (you can change it in settings) a post is hidden; the button is there so you could still view the posts if you like. While I don't think I'll be adjust it to perminently hide, what can change is that it should hide when you yourself downvote.
And the GG Weekly post RSS appears to have been an oversite. Good eye.

Earlier, I downvoted Iga's post above (as a test), but it still displays the post in both Opera 9.64 and IE8, even after I changed the comment downvote setting to -1.
BTW, I'm not really confortable downvoting people's posts just because I don't want to see them. It makes it seem like I don't like their post which isn't usually the case. I usually hide posts to either keep from reading possible spoilers or to keep from redownloading lots of pics that I've already seen.
It's not something I do often, so it's not a big deal or anything. I just thought it would be a nice option.
EDIT: Okay, this is weird. When I'm logged out and view this page, Iga's downvoted post is hidden, but when I'm logged in, it's displayed.

Make it so.
Edit:
the ability to edit blogs would be helpful too.
I was just inviting someone to join the site and I realised that GG weekly the page, has no description as to what it is or its function.
Any chance of a site tour page or at least a label on the GG weekly page explaining what it does?
"The Latest weeky news" or some crap?

Some crap.
I love you, GG.

You can edit blogs from the See All page for blogs. I need to adjust the placement of edit buttons, but you can do it through there for the time being.

The easiest method I think would be to label the menu option as just "News". The page does need a title, though.
