Watched most of the videos, dang this game seems a lot more complicated than xb wii.
This is by far the most epic game the Wii U has seen, or will see. I mean, it just doesn't get games like this. What is the longest game on the console other than this? The Wind Waker remake? A fucking REMAKE?

Well to be fair, considering that it's environment is larger than Witcher 3, Skyrim, FO4 and the original Xenoblade COMBINED - It's one of the biggest and longest games on any platform.

What does that have to do with this being the only game of its kind on the system?
I'm not talking about the size of the environment. I couldn't care less about that...its an overrated stat. The environment is huge but its also a fucking ton of open landscape where not much is happaning outside of traveling from one point to another. I'm hoping its not too big, actually. Because that will hinder the pacing. There's a reason some of the best games ever made are short and to the point. But I digress. What I'm saying by EPIC is not how many miles of landscape the game has, but just how epic the quest and story are. There's really nothing like this on the console in terms of big adventure games or RPG's. I guess Lego fucking City Undercover? Mercy.
Not sure if I mentionned this before, but I'll be going in without the recommended downloads. I don't have any spare USB HDD's at hand, and I have it from a good source that I'll receive one from my son for Christmas. So I'll be able to judge just how much of a performance difference there is between playing with and without said downloads.

Actually the reviews say there is always something to do in those landscapes at all times.
In terms of big adventure games, I guess the two Assasins Creed games, Black Flag was pretty huge, Lego City is a pretty epic game if you try and grab every gold brick - which you should do - particularly as an N64 platforming fan, it's virtually like Banjo Kazooie. Darksiders 2 I guess? Though I haven't played it.
And apparently the next Zelda out next year on Wii U will be.... even bigger and more epic than XCX. The map is said to be 6x larger than the Witcher 3.

I can't see Zelda being that big. Even though they've been working on it forever.
Really, some of the games of late have begun to cross the line in terms of the scale of the world. I love big games as much as anyone, but there's also a limit to it all that you need to keep things in perspective. Witcher 3, to me, is too big. It would have been a better game had the world been smaller. If Xenoblade 2 is like Witcher PLUS all the games you said combined, that is beyond ridiculous. Then Zelda bigger than that? Idk.....fast travel better be plentiful.
The bigger the world, the more repetitive the gameplay gets I've found more than not in these types of games. Fallout 4 on the other hand, feels just right. The world is big, but not insanely big. Its more like a GTA game set in post war Boston.
I hear you. For me though I loved every bit of XB on Wii for over 120 hours- it never felt bloated, there was no boring downtime and I still mean to finish it someday.
If XCX maintains the same fun level for me, as a U only owner getting a game this big is a gift, that will last me months if not the whole of 2016.
Anyhow, not sure if you guys want to avoid spoilers, these are just environment shots so look away if you are sensititve:
I thought you finished Xenoblade after my genius strategy I gifted you? WTF...

Now you're confusing me, did I finish it or watch the ending on youtube?
Wait now I remember I loaded up the save and was still at Lorathia and thought fuck this and turned it off.
Your advice: Find one of those clear crabs. Come up behind it....save your game. Beat it, save your game. Load that save....the crab will be there again. Rinse & repeat.
I might try that

No.
So we have the voice of Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist, Patrick Seitz from One Piece, Cherami Leigh from Fairy Tail, Josh Grelle from everything and Kenichi, Yuri Lowenthal from Tiger and Bunny and Ben 10 and Bryce Papenbrook from Attack on Titan
