I don't think I've ever walked out on a movie. I desperately wanted to walk out of Eragon, but my wife really wanted to see it. I tried to convince her that it looked horrible in the previews. She was convinced after the movie was over.
I have the game of that movie. This does not bode well.
At the cinema, not many. Billy Elliot.
At home there are plenty I have turned off partway through.
I wished I had cut the Avatar cord throughout its butt numbing run time.
The sheep shearing Wallace and Gromit. Bad case of sensory overload during the mechanical climax.
Can't think of any other occasion, and I think I returned once recovered; maybe not because they're so short. Okay, so there are probably many occasions where I had to leave briefly due to sensory overload, but I mention that one because I may have then missed the rest of it.
I'd never walk out of a cinema because a film is bad. It's a God damn cinema FFS, everything is good at the cinema. (As long as you're in a good one.) It's like listening to music you hate on an incredible hi-fi; holy shit, if it ain't awesome anyway.
I even sat through the bad version of Brazil. Which was just incredible, by the way.
I never walked out on a movie in the theaters but that is because I payed to see it and I will force myself to stay there just so I can watch the whole movie.
At home I can just turn off the movie if I lose interest or I don't like it.

What a godawful film.
Fortunately I saw that one at home so I walked out on it pretty easily. I do like movies where people try to break out of their typecast. I wonder if there is a name for those kind of movies? Has anyone every made it out of their typecast ghetto? Tom Hanks is an obvious one.
Never but I wanted to a few times. Once was The Thin Red Line, bored me to tears. The other was 28 Days Later, yes I know cult classic, bull crap its a boring piece of shit.
Everyone shoudl walk out of a movie at least once in their lives. It's a great feeling. You feel like you are adding extra time to your life.
I walked out of the Super Mario Bros film. It's just shit. Believe me.
The second and last film I walked out of was some Japanese arthouse film. There was a two year time of my life that I went to see every film that screened. At some point I broke.
After that I saw about two more films inthe cinema and never went back.
Bad Boys 2, Miami Vice Remake, I Love You Beth Cooper and Prometheus come to mind off the top of my head.
Bad Boys video game is unplayable.

Billy Elliot is not a bad film in my opinion. GG maybe, being a Londoner, you just hated the northern working class socialist humour. 
Also Billy Elliot the West End/Broadway show is really great great fun

Part of the reason I didn't want to see it. Also never want to watch a dancer film, outside of dirty dancing and most UK films of that period annoyed me. I want escapism.

Because they were terrible and very boring. ESPECIALLY that Miami Vice remake with Colin Farrel, one of the worst pieces of shit I have seen.
I've only done it twice.
Fantasia (When I was five. It was also the first movie I went to and no I'm not that old, it was re-release). It was double billed with Raise the Titanic which is what I went there to see, but they played Fantasia first and once they brought on the elephants doing ballet I said, "That's it. I'm outta here" (it was not realistic enough for me).
