I'm really curious as to what phones you guys use, and what do you think of them?

I have an extremely cheap 3.5 inch off-brand android phone. It sucks, and I'm looking to upgrade. Right now, I seriously considering getting a Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen phone. $180 usd, 5 inch screen, and the reviews have been very positive. With my current job, I need to get a much better phone than I have now. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I use a shitty Razor M. It was cheap and that's really all there was to it. My wife has a Galaxy 5 though and I'll tell you that thing is as amazing as it gets. Sound quality is excellent, everything runs quickly, it takes awesome pictures, the screen is big without being unwieldy, and it can take a beating. My contract is up for renewal next month and I may throw down for one of my own.

Windows Phone. Best interface, and if you use their cloud services it is flawless.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. Best phone I've ever had, but then it did cost twice as much as my previous phone.

BTW, I paid nothing for my Nokia Windows Phone, I don't pay for smart phones, I just get whatever is free for the minimal data plan (down here $60 a month).

Nokia has great camera, Win Phone has the most customisable interface.

But really the choice comes down to where you ahve created your e-mail and other cloud services.  If you have gone the google docs/ gmail route, android is best.

If you go the outlook.com/ office online route then win phone.

I've been on both sides, and for me, Win Phone was better. And almost any Nokia hardware is on par with the best available in terms of durability, battery and camera.

Typing This on a Nokia Lumia winphone.  Love the UI, although I'm expriencing soms troubles while calling.  Be prepared for the gut reaction of "ugh, wonder it's because of Windows" whenever there's a hickip in the user experience.

^Yeah, I have to say, the actual "phone" part of any phone I have used sinced they switched to digital in the 90'sh as been atrocious.

It's always been a point of wonder for me that so many advances in "phones" have been impressive, but the actual PHONE part of the technology has been truly outrageous and consistently of a lower qualty than landlines.

Well, I looked at all of these phones and many others, and I decided to go with a phone I hadn't really considered before: Amazon Fire Phone, 32GB (Unlocked GSM) $199 USD (includes1 year of Amazon Prime service for free). The reason I never considered it before was due to it being locked to AT&T (I prefer T-Moble); Amazon has finally fixed that issue. Seems to be the best value for me, as I was going to renew my Prime service anyway, so I'm really only paying around $100 for the phone.  I own a Kindle Fire Tablet, so I'm already comfortable with Amazon's OS and Apps, and i can return it in 30 days if it sucks. Heh, I have never paid more than $30 for a phone before, lol.

^Sounds liek a good fit for you given you are in the amazon "ecosystem", which is really what phone choices are about these days.

I like it. I use it all the time, except as a phone.

Some cheap Xperia SP. I liked it at first but it's kind of wonky. Now I want a phone with a huge screen.

Be sure to give some impressions on the faux 3D effect gimmick.  Although seeing how poorly the phone was received, I doubt there'll be many apps that use it.

It was the first thing I turned off when I got the phone. Never had any interest in that feature.

The phone is awesome, though. I have no complaints whatsoever.

And for an OS that's lauded for being so intuitive and user friendly, I can never manage to find/do what I need when I use one.  It's all so cluttered.

I tried out an ipad mini and didn't like the OS at all compared to windows 8 on a touchscreen.
