Super Mario Sunshine is your favorite Mario platformer?

It's my favorite 3D Mario platformer. Super Mario World is my favorite Mario platformer.

Thanks for the clarification.

I don't think Majora's Mask is really a black sheep. Maybe when it was first released, but it's generally considered to be as good as, if not better than Ocarina of Time.  Link's Adventure is really the black sheep of that series.

Personally I'd go with Super Mario Bros. 2.  That was one of my favorite games of the NES era and it's still my favorite Mario game of that era. Now that they're doing "new" Super Mario Bros, I'd really like to see a version done in that style.

 SMB2, meh.

Majora's Mask is passionately talked about by the minority who liked it. So it's still a black sheep, just one that is appreciated by a few. Zelda 2 on the other hand...

Star Fox Adventures (It was considered a Black Sheep because it was hardly like the other games in the series)

I like that game. It's not great, but its solid.

I think Resident Evil: Code Veronica is kind of a black sheep....because it was originally a Dreamcast game that didn't get a number to it just because it wasn't on Playstation, even though Mikami confirmed later that Code Veronica was the real RE 3, and Nemesis was the game that should have just had a numberless tag name.

So I think a lot of gamers wrote it off as being just a half-assed side game, when in reality its one of the best games in the series, if not the best.

I love that game, I can't call it black sheep cause it's the second best RE game.

Does Tekken Tag Tournament count? I know it was pretty well received, but it's not as talked about as the other older Tekkens. That's probably my equal favourite along with 3. Maybe 3 just edges it, though.

I don't think WW is a blacksheep anymore. They made 2 more games in that style. I'd say that was verfication that people liked it.

Which lead to two even bigger black sheep.

LOL

On topic, Minish Cap was a great handheld Zelda game. It even used the Wind Waker style but the game was actually hardcore and challenging! GASP
