Well, I've finally got around to begin watching The Boys. I'm going down this rabbit hole now.

I'm watching One Piece on Netflix.  It's both incredibly stupid and satisfyingly entertaining.  It's unlike anything else I've seen.  It's bold, colourful, over the top, nonsensical.  It's a perfect escape in this period in life where I'm being crushed by responsabilities and duties, both professional and in my family life.

Wrapped up Interview With a Vampire season 2. Technically, this is the end of the story, but season 3 will be happening with an adaptation of The Vampire Lestat. Without a question, this has been my favorite TV show of the past several years. I'm in awe of how they simultaneously kept true to just about everything in the book, and yet fleshed out so many characters and expanded upon bits of story that were only hinted at in the book.

I also started Orphan Black: Echoes. After the first episode, I don't see how this will be anything other than an utter snooze fest. The original series, while it did get repetitive, was always interesting and fast-paced. This seems to be the total opposite.

I just started watching Monarch on Apple TV. It's about the organization that tracks all the monsters from the recent Godzilla and Kong movies. It's telling simultaneous stories about the origins of it as well as what it is doing in present time. It actually kind of feels like a Monster Hunter tv show. The characters will be on an adventure or tracking something and then boom out of nowhere. Here's a weird looking monster you've never seen before. No giant swords though.

I just finished watching 'The Decameron' on Netflix.  It's a humoristic drama series set in a villa outside of Florence during the plague in the 14th century.  The wife and I watched the first episode together and it was basically awfull.  I kept watching the subsequent episodes on and off myself and it does build up.  It's more absurdist than actually funny, with situations ever escalating.  I think it's best described as one 30 minute Fawlty Towers episode stretched over 10 50 minutes episodes.
