A real new game in that super niche Metroid series.
A Metroid Prime would make the NX day one for me. I would say Zelda except it's coming to the U. Of course, a new Mario, not NSMB, and a Pikmin would entice me but I probably wouldn't buy right away.
- Dragon Quest - I'm first and foremost a Dragon Quest whore. I won't automatically throw down for a spin-off, but right now DQ Heroes and Builders and pretty much my main motivation for buying a PS4.
- Monster Hunter - Officially my new gaming obsession. I will follow this franchise wherever it goes.
- Rune Factory - I'm actually replaying Frontier right now and reminded of how good this series was. Harvest Moon may have fallen to pieces, but it's spin off still is good for very strong entries.
- Street Fighter - Best fighter eva
- Persona - I kind of wanted to put "all Atlas support" but I'll just cherrypick this one franchise.
There's no one franchise that could influence me into getting a console. Not even a Nintendo console. Although I did buy a 3DS specifically to play BOTW, but there were more games there that interested me.
Resident Evil, metal gear, Zelda, metroid, Mario, maybe sonic.
But those are the obvious ones. I guess if sega started to make games again I would have to get that system.
A new Chrono game would be my number one reason.

Vanquish 2, Bayonetta 3, StarTropics 3, and Darkstalkers 4 are my other four games.

If all NX had that would interest me was BotW, no not even that. I'm not even sure I'll like BotW that much. I like linear games. Even if the story itself isn't all that deep (small understatement), there is still a lot to be said for having a mostly linear game, where the developers are in full control of the chronology in which the player will discover the world.
There are a lot of franchises I'd love to see return, but none of them would have the draw to pull me into a purchase on their own.

Ack, I meant AlbW. My bad. As in The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds.
I'm sure I could wait for any one game, but I did get an Xbox back in 2004 solely for Fable. And Final Fantasy XIII in HD was what got me to finally buy a PS3.

I'm talking about games that you see and would be like - shit - guess I need that console now.
Now, I know a lot of people will roll out with the obvious, Halo, Mario etc, but we know those already come out anyway. So think about it a little harder.
For me, probably:
