Yeah, that's clearly a better looking version than what I've been playing

Sarcasm meter off the charts sir!
I didn't say it was better looking
travo said:No sarcasm.
Really? Cause Mario Kart runs way smoother and doesn't drop to like 10 FPS when too much is happening on screen.

OH!
That must run like complete shit. Sorry.
The centre of gravity is so weird in those videos. Everything is so top heavy and floaty.

Driving is pretty terrible, but in a way where its so bad it kind of just works. Since everyone in the race has to drive the same way it becomes hilarious awesome chaos. Every chase in the game becomes crazy cause the controls are so slippery. Almost works to its benefit.
Talk about wtf moments, I jumped into a car and immediately turned 90 degrees without pressing the gas.

Even the walking/running looks very weird. But it could be fun to play, like you say. I'm all for unique mechanics.
I have just barely started playing this game but what little I've played was enjoyable. I just made it to my hideout after escaping the police at the very beginning. Also I'm playing the superior version, "Better with Kinect".

Agreed. There was a scne wher the emotional involvement level was high, the dialog was good. But the textures were PS2 (YES P2) level and the in engine for cutscenes looked early PS3.
(For reference this is when you go to your sisters for your nephews's b'day).
Beyond that though, this game feels so much like Saint's Row 1. It's undercooked, disjointed and just not-fun.
Hoping to get enough store credit to subsidize either Killzone (not) 4 or Wolfenstein.
What version are you playing Aspro?
In no point have I seen it look like a PS2 or even early PS3 game. Some parts of it are actually almost TOO realistic looking to the point where it takes away the "game" feel. Again, its a better looking game at least on the PC than most games of this type, so I don't know why people were expecting some kind of Crysis 2007 level game that obliterates everything instead of a great looking open world game.
Aspro, if you still have the game, don't give up on it yet. The first two hours are by far the worst part of the game. Even the textures appear better. That stadium was atrocious to look at, but the visuals certainly improve.
Another 3+ hours straight, I did one mission, I cant stop messing around. I did the mayhem digital trip which is basically a carmaggedon game. There are QR camera puzzles, in fact there are all sorts of hacking puzzles where you need to figure out how to get around the the hack by platforming around buildings, using hacks in smart ways. I love this game, I enjoy the side content more than GTAV I think. The shooting while kind of meh is fine cause it is way more fun to stealth your way through battles using hacks as weapons.
GAME OF THE YEAR CONTENDER for me. This game blows the shit out of AC1, if WD2 is a huge improvement it will be one of the best games of this gen.
Glad you mentioned the side missions and how incredible they are. I've played for a week and I'm still on Act 1 (out of 5). It's just too easy to get sidetracked.
That van appeared out of thin air!
