They should just clone Andy Serkis for all future motion capture movies.

Peter Jackson is making a Tin Tin sequel?

If you want to see how the stories pan out you can get the animated collection of movies, there is a 5 or 10 disc set.

Seems to me like the story is the least important aspect of that series.

No, what you said was the equivalent of "You suck like Michael Jordan did!"

It is a comic book series. The story and plot is all there is.

I can't believe there are some people out there that have never heard about Tin Tin. Fucking barbarians.

I know that, where did I say there was no series?

I stated that the movie made it seem like the series story isnt all that important, it just feels like an adventure movie where each part is just a different treasure hunt.  Then you come out of nowhere and state it is a comic series and get angry that people never heard of it, which is not what I was talking about at all.

Ah, so you do lack basic reading comprehension. I said the series is a comic book series and therefore as most comic book series there is only plot and story. What else is there in a comic? Sure you have action, but that is not what Tin Tin is about. And action works so much better in a movie or cartoon. Also keep in mind that Tin Tin is meant for children and therefore the story can't be all too deep.

And I was not angry. I just called you a barbarian, because you are a barbarian. Don't thinkI was angry just because I use the F-word.

Lol, no, though perhaps Michael Jordan wasn't known for his consistency? Couldn't care less about Michael Jordan. Nevertheless I wasn't saying Spielberg sucks (and I don't know how you could think I was) I was saying he has made a lot of crappy films with no soul. Doesn't mean he hasn't made a lot of great ones too.

I saw Blood the Last Vampire the live action movie. I thought it was a Japanese production but it seems to be a co-production with a U.S company. Most of the film is in english but has English actors with bad, fake american accents.

They have tried to string out the original 40 minute standalone animation into a full movie and after the first half hour they go off on their own tangent and it's pretty meh. It doesn't help that the vampire monster forms are done with some weirdo, jerky cgi animation that looks like it's stop motion animation.

It's watchable stuff but pretty bleh. The animated movie and the series Blood + is much, much better.

I also saw Shaolin.

Pretty good entertainment. Not much to make it special but purely as an entertaining film it's good. Action is by Corey Yuen who did Red Cliff and Hero. There is some good kung fu, a loveable cameo by Jackie Chan and some of the best screen explosions of recent memory. If you want to see Kung Fu monks facing off against vicious warlords with guns you can't really go wrong.

I saw War Horse yesterday. The movie tries so hard to hit all these emotional moments, Spielberg might as well have put signs in the movie stating "you should be sad right now!" But it misses the mark most of the time cause the movie jumps around too much. You follow the horse and the horse changes hands a ton of times so characters come and go without enough emotional weight put on any of them. Plus the horse never really does anything that special. Its a sappy inspirational movie that just tries too hard. The John Williams score was fantastic though and there are some incredible camera shots in the movie where if the movie would have been a classic it could be one of those shots you see all the time in movie history retrospectives. So yeah, not his best, hopefully Lincoln will be a return to form.

Today I saw 13 Assassins, what a fucking bad ass movie!!!!  Imagine Ocean's 13 but instead of robbers they are samurai and instead of robbing a bank they are going to kill the biggest shithead in history. The setup is so awesome, they really make you hate the villain. They setup all the 13 characters well. But most importantly they nail the payoff, the final 20-30 minutes of this movie is epic. Awesome stuff, thanks GG for recommending it.

No I was just posting a load of reviews for 13 Assasins as it got really great praise from the press. Now I'm really interested in the Phoenix Wright movie. It's going to be the funniest train wreck ever. laugh
