So good that I came back after 12 years to post about it.

I 100%'d the demo, and you get a special code for an in-game present in the full version for doing so, as well as one for just completing the demo, which is pretty cool.

The music could be a little bit better. I was nostalgic for classic SNES Kirby music and it missed the mark at some points. Exactly what I'm looking for at others.

I thought mouthful mode would be pretty gimmicky but it's a decent gameplay mechanic. You never really have to use it if you don't want. Reminds me a bit of turning into vehicles in the original Yoshi's Island.

When you're done in mouthful mode, the only option is to press Y to spit. I wish there was also an option to swallow.

The levels looks quite open but are linear at the same time, so it takes a little getting used to, not jumping at invisible walls looking for hidden secrets or trying to get up on ledges all the time.

Go download the demo, it's free. It's Kirby. Maybe the first good Kirby since Kirby Super Star.

I haven't played a video game since September so feel free to tell me my opinions are trash.

Pro-Tip: Swallowing is always more fun than spitting!

I played a bit of the demo and was pleased with how it went. The only other Kirby game I've played is Kirby's Epic Yarn, which was okay.

I played a bit of Bug Fables. It's my third favorite Paper Mario.

I enjoyed the demo.

What surprised me was that during the 3rd playthrough the game got more difficult which was fun.

I was sliding about, jumping, slashing, doing everything to take out enemies. I got down to half health, not near death but it was fun nonetheless.

Also the ape boss is more aggressive then I expected from a Kirby game.

Ive now played the demo about 4 times and I'm probably going to buy it. The music basically sounds like Mario Galaxy and the game looks and feels like it could be Mario 3dworld.

Only the gameplay is not quite as good.

Reminder to go buy Kirby.

I'm up to the second boss and its so good. Like the demo was good, the full game is next level.

There's like a whole anime scene with an entire theme song near the beginning, and a bunch of other cutscenes that weren't even in the demo.

I don't recall seeing this level of attention to detail and care put into a game since... probably the original Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. It reminds me a bit of DKC with the tons of secret areas and stuff it had.

My wife was watching me play and went away to do something a bit. When she came back I was just like "YOU MISSED SO MANY COOL GAME MECHANICS IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES"

Every level is something new. It always gives you a reason to try out new abilities instead of sticking with your old favorites.

I'm not normally a 100% type person but this game makes me want to be a completionist and get everything. It sucks you into that in many aspects. Also it never seems unfair or boring, like it'll be a challenge to 100% clear a level. So far I feel like I could go back and get everything in most levels on a second try. There's nothing that I would really need to look up on a wiki or anything.

Every character has so much personality. Building up the destroyed town is fun.

It's just so beautiful and polished. God damn.

There's even a COOKING MINI GAME sort of.

(I've been playing a little bit of Core Keeper and that's decent too. Nowhere near Kirby level though)

Looking forward to Advance Wars Reboot in a couple weeks but I remember that scoring a perfect 10 on the GBA and I don't think even that can compare to Kirby now.

I played the demo, as did my kid and it was fantastic. It brought me back to Kirby's Dream Land on the original game boy, which is the only other kirby game I've beaten.

Costs $80 here, so did not buy immediately, but will. *edit* just bought it.

Saw a few secret videos on YouTube. Seems there's a fair amount of Secret routes through levels. Mario-esque

Even on hard mode, this game presents no challenge, but somehow I am compelled to promote it as a must-play game. It turns the Nintendo up to 11.

I look forward to playing this eventually, but I have so little free time I can dedicate to gaming these days that it makes no sense to buy it to just add to the backlog pile.

Its spring break and I am tempted to play this.  I just don't want to pay full price for it though.  I guess I will settle for the demo and let it help me decide.

I got around to playing the demo.  It is good.  Although I find the 'pathway' design to be very restricting.  I didn't mind it much in Super Mario 3D Land and world.  I think the reason for this is that in the Mario games, you are presented with a linear obstacle course, while Kirby is just a gentle stroll.
