On the 8-4 podcast they said that The Last Story sold about 110,000 after 2 weeks, which was the entirety of the first print. They added that this was a good sign for the game. Since they have a good relationship with Nintendo, I'd trust their take on it (and they are in Japan in case you don't know who they are).
WAHP's tweet feed said the same thing (about the first print being sold out).
So here's hoping.
Their information was wrong though, it was at 115k in the first, 134k in the second and 142k in the third. Although it does seem likely that the first shipment was sold out and it got a second. That's just by the retailers Media Create tracks which, similarly to the NPD, isn't actually all of them, so it can be a little higher.
