"a reference to a really manly anime/manga Jo Jo’s Bizarre adventure"

Only one of these characters is a woman if I remember correctly:

Got East of Eden movie 1.

Watched 20 minutes, wondering wtf was going on. Then read on the lable it was a follow up to an Eden of East anime series. indecision I hate when this happens. Like when I rented Clannad After Story without knowing it followed up Clannad.

Just got series 12 of Bleach.

FUCK. MY. LIFE.

The episode order is all fucked up with Bleach and they never tell you, it's only when I delve deep into the buttcheeks of the internet when I learn why nothing is making sense and parts are missing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach_episode_list#Season_11:_The_Past_.282009.29

So I finish season 11 and should start season 12. So I get season 12 but the UK edition is all fucked up and season 12 is actually season 13. So where is season 12? It's missing like a secret floor you can only access by an elevator key.

Doing research I learn this from a UK review of season 11 dvd

http://www.myreviewer.com/DVD/158317/Bleach-Series-11-4-Discs-UK/158404/Review-by-Jitendar-Canth

"Welcome to Season 12 of Bleach. Yes, I know it says Series 11 on the box, but this is actually Season 12 the way that the Japanese number them. The actual Season 11 was just seven episodes long, and to maximise value for money, Kazé just tagged them onto the back end of Season 10 Part 2 and were done with it. But because they’re releasing as season collections, and part collections, they had to release a season 11 next, or otherwise people would be complaining about the gap on their shelves. The US and Australia never bothered with sticking to seasons (Bleach’s episode counts are all over the place, and while season 11 may have just 7 episodes, season 14 has 51), so in those two territories, you just get nice and neat episode collections, with no mention of the Japanese season numbering. You know, Season 13 has 36 episodes. If Kazé splits it in two, and releases one part as Season 12, and the other as Season 13, we’ll get right back on track. Anyway, I’ve spent more time thinking about this than it really deserves."

Fuck my life, now I have to return season 12 (which is actually season 13) and rent the missing season 12, (which is actually on the season 11) dvd set. angry The fuck!?

Bleach also has a main story that is sometimes split up with completely different plots and side stories. You'll be watching an episode with a cliffhanger, the next episode the characters are somehow okay in a completely different location doing something completely different from the last episode. And you'll be head scratching, thinking - did I miss something? Then you delve into the buttcheeks of the internet and learn that there is sometimes a whole season 12 or so episodes gap before the main story continues, only the anime never tells you this at the time.

I have never ordered anything from Rightstuf.com before, but so far, I'm very pleased with their service. I pre-ordered Kill la Kill Volume 1 BR set, which officially releases on July 15th. I recieved an email this morning stating that it had already shipped, and I should have it on July 15th. Ordinarily, this might not seem strange, but I chose their free shipping service, and I'm still getting it on day one? Fuck yeah! If I chose Amazon's free shipping, I wouldn't have it until a week after release. Looks like I'll be ordering my anime from Rightstuff for now on. Grinning

I still need to watch this anime. Hmm, let me guess, the 2nd one from the left is the woman? Everyone else looks too manly.

I think so. The lack of cleavage and the waist give it away.

Been watching lots of anime series this week:

The Big O - Imagine if Phoenix Wright worked as a private investigator/kidnapping negotiator, which also happened to own a giant mech called The Big O. Very fun anime.

Akame ga Kill - A boy who has natural skill at sword fighting, discovers corruption in the Empire, and joins an assassin group trying to overthrow the government. A very bloody good time.

Magi - Know the tales of Aladdin and Alibaba? Well, this is the anime version, and it rocks.

Momo Kyun Sword - Tits okay. Nice animation that really keeps the viewer abreast of every situation. Weird animal characters. Not sure if I'll watch more or not yet.

Magica Wars - Four minute anime episodes? Yup. Each episode is only 4 minutes long, and that includes the title music, opening credits and ending credits. Despite being so short, they are often quite entertaining.

Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure - Still watching this. Keeps getting better with each episode. Happy

Kill la Kill - Watched the first 4 episodes on Blu-ray twice last Friday in Japanese and English. The English dub is fine, except for two very annoying things:

  1. The voice actor they chose for Senketsu just sounds completely wrong to me. In Japanese, he has a deeper, almost gravelly voice, but In English he sounds like Huey Lewis. *facepalm*.
  2. They pronounced Senketsu's name wrong! Japanese = SEN-KET-SUE; English dub = SEN-KETS. Seriously? WTF? Argh!

Oops, I forgot one.

Trigun - Anime Western. I've only seen one Episode so far, but it's a LOT of fun. I was expecting something more serious, but it's actually pretty funny.
