Yes. Yes it is. In North America its Art vs. Science and it really seems like every idiot who owns the game picked Science. I've lost almost every game I've played and been paired up with some utterly inept teammates I've ever had.

Had a great splatfest myself. We rocked a great team with a splatling gun, a sniper, a squelcher and my own thristy .52Gal. Made it halfway up the Champion rank. Also improved my squid jump high score considerably. Anyone up for some splatoon when splatfest ends tomorrow?

If you don't want to play that's fine, but why did you feel the need to implicitly insult us? Nyaa not sure what time splatfest ends here either. If it's 7pm GG time I can more or less make that. If it's an hour earlier the kid is still up.

What team? I made Messy Champion status.

Funny how well you can do when the Japanese aren't involved. Loved it.

On the matches we lost I was still averaging 1000 points.

Glad I was just misunderstanding.

Tidy Team for the win!  (haven't checked, we might as well have lost)  I made it to Tidy Champion and then halway up to 'Queen'.  Never scored that high in a Splatfest before.  Then again, usually I just stop playing once I reach Champion.

The hammerhead bridge level is pure gold.  It's a lot less of a maze than I first assumed it to be.  The interaction between the grate bridge and what's going on down below is superb.  Took me 2 matches to realize that you can climb up to the bridge at every 'pillar' though.

I'm glad that my preferred Urchin Underpass tactic has survived the redesign.  I'll push deep into enemy territory and then I'll dig in like a tick and have a whole team try to flush me out, leaving the rest of the map open to the rest of my team while doing so.

Of course the tidy team lost miserably, as there was such a large majority of people who chose messy. I was truthful in my selection, despite knowing this would be the result. Sad

I was banking on a victory for team Tidy to be honest.  I'd consider the fact that there were less people in the team to be a strong point and would have expected this to result in a higher ratio of people knowing what they were doing as opposed to those that have the strategic intellect of an urchin.

edit: also, the sea snails as a currency are pretty worthless as none of the gear is so fine looking that I'd want to upgrade it and use it over the existing 3-star items.  They should just have given you the opportunity to sell and repurchase gear.  As it stands the only advantage is that upgraded gear levels up much faster than regular 3-star gear.

Nah, they're too busy tidying their room to become good at a videogame.

It's true, I missed that Splafest because I was cleaning and otherwise occupying my time on pursuits of endeavour, not slovenly lolling about on a couch with a gamepad.

Queen? Wouldn't you be King? I thought it was gender specific.

I love that team messy won. Seriously how can you vote team tidy in a game about creating a massive mess? I nabbed 16 sea snails.

And I play as a female Inkling.  They're more suave and you know it.  Haven't checked how much snails I've made.

Splatoon is not a game about creating a huge mess.  I strive to create a wonderful, tidy, unicoloured world, with none of those messy blobs of contrasting ink those oposing rebel scum try to taint my world with!

I'll probably be in, depends on how tired I am and how much my butt hurts from the hard couch.

Maybe a squad of two?
