Nothing can compare to this, NOTHING. As long as I live I doubt I will ever see anything like this. I have never seen anything like it, dreams came true, men cried, angels were born. They gave us three of the most requested games out there in the same show! The Last Guardian, FFVII remake and Shenmue 3!

They had the two most mindblowing, best graphics, demos in all of E3. They got the biggest exclusive deals. And they did not waste one second of time.

It was non stop entertainment. It was perfection. I have never had more fun watching any live event outside my team winning a championship.

And as of this morning there are 3 posts in this thread?

I missed it, Sony always has its conference at like 3am UK time.

Would be helpful if you included a summary.

I guess I'll have to watch it Vade, but from the news it seemed like a well run conference but generally ho-hum. Sony still has about 20 dev studios and we don't know what 12 of them are working on (numbers loose).

This year's E3 has solidifed in my mind that VR is the next 3D or Motion Control.  No one should be showing shit at this point, but they are all pretending they have made it over the finish line and shit like Google Cardboard and Samsung's BS is going to cheapen the whole point of what Sony and Oculus is doing.

MS' AR thing, however interesting and possibly awesome, will also just muddy the waters.  I love MS and WinPhone, but fuck guys if you can't even sell a phone OS to the world what the fuck are you doing carving out your own niche of VR with AR?

Like the Simpson's line about Baskin Robbins.

I fell asleep last night and didn't catch the conference.  The new Guerrilla Games' IP looks nice as well as TLG.  I can't get excited for FF.  As for Shenmue, I hope they release the first two so that I can play them first.

I'll be going into work soon so maybe I'll catch the whole conference later.  I hate not being able to talk about it live.

I'm watching the event now as I type.....The Last Guardian is real and IMO looks great. It looks like Ico with a companion creature. Not sure why this has taken them so long, but I like what I saw.

Horizon Zero Dawn....wow! Its like a cross between The Witcher 3 & Tomb Raider. This looks great...I give Guerrilla Games all the credit in the world for not doing another fucking FPS franchise. Seems like developers known for shooters are never able to get away from them.

Hitman.....not much shown. I'm sure it will be a good game, though I wonder if this series will ever impress me like it did in the Hitman 2 days again.

I thought it was fun to watch live, especially because that press conference killed neogaf. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen lol.

But honestly the "hype" things they showed were a CGI trailer for a remake with no gameplay being shown, by a company that takes forever to make things (I finished college, got my CPA, and my career job in Accounting in the time of Versus 13's announcement to Final Fantasy 15's 2nd demo being out in the world) and a kickstarer pitch for 2 games that also notoriously don't have compelling gameplay..admitedly Yu Suzuki is pretty fucking chill.

That said I dig The Last Guardian, because I'll be damned if Ico and Shadow of the Colossus aren't cool as hell. And in some weird ass twist of fate Guerilla's game actually pretty fucking fun, it was a new ip, and it looked to have none of the short comings of Guerilla's other games sand the obviously bad writing. Because christ that bitch sounded stupid.

The greatest conference of all time? Eh, it ended with more Uncharted, way too much cgi, and not enough gameplay. A lot of this E3 was just announcing stuff with nothing to really show. Kind of lame E3 across the board on the triple A front, at least the indie stuff looks fun.

Yeah you explore space, you can take part in some space combat here and there, and some things on the planet might try to kill you. You have guns.

It's got spore-ish vibes going on, but honestly it at least looks unique and interesting. What it'll lack in depth or challenge it can make up for in mystique and sense of wonder if the exploring part is that entertaining.
