Its a nice console..I was very impressed with it even though I've barely used it. I checked out Phantasy Star 2 and Final Fantasy 6 on it and both work great with super sharp visuals and sound.
I would also love one for those old CD systems....and one for the N64 would be nice too.
I'm not sure how this is even a choice. Tractor parts are just plain cooler than a Retron 5.

They are more fun to pull arpat and put back together than the actual parts themselves.
Still... I think I'll get a Retron 5 soonish.
Is there anything more advanced than SNES/Genesis games emulated?

Let me put it this way, is there anything as advanced or more advanced as PS1 and N64 onwards.
I finally got one (well ordered one). It's my "christmas" gift to myself.
I wish I could go back in time and tell younger Aspro to buy a powerbase converter. Holy Nikes they are expensive now
I figured that since I had 3 master systems I would not need one.
If I would could go back in time I'd tell younger Robio to buy stock in Apple. I'd also tell him not to be too proud to bang a fat chick.

This is something that would shave years off the virginity of every male in America.

It would do a great job of cutting down on dry spells too.
I hope the retron 5 comes in the mail today. I don't have time to play it especially, but since i ordered it I've done a fair bit of research on the patches and translation stuff.
Plan is to hook it up to my PC monitor to accomodate more immediate use.
If it doesn't come this afternoon I think I'll just start going through the collection picking out what to play first. I am thinking about mowing through some Genesis games now that I will have save state ability.
Hi, I'm back. Busy and sick.
I have to find a computer with an SD card slot to update the latest version of the firmware, honestly it would be eaier for me to find a PC with a floppy disc drive. So far only Genesis carts work, and to take out the NES and SNES carts requiers as much pressure as is required to tow a small trailer of logs. I was seriously concerned I was going to break the thing.
The genesis games were a true pleasure, visually, I've never seen them look better.
The controller is not as bad as everyone makes out.
Man I want one. They cost about $270 AUD down here ($200 USD 170 EU).
But I also need tractor parts and also have working consoles that play all those games.
I'll get one eventually. What I am really relishing is a disc version of a retron, something that plays Sega CD, Saturn, and PS1.
