I have it but I haven't played number 2 yet and I want to do that before I get to 3 but a couple of friends I know who played it thought it was a great shooter. Why WTF? It got great reviews. It's meant to be good
Yeah but... I played the first because it was the only game to have on the PS3 for about 7 months. Skipped the second (they reveal the ending at the start of the third in the first 20 seconds).
It really is good, but I was not expecting much.
By the way, while you are here.... Remedy is really impressing me on the PC version fo Alan Wake. In many regards. A little too much non-game content, but I am happy with that this month.
What do you mean by non-game content? Cut-scenes? I loved watching the TV channels and listening to the radio bits. Is the PC version different to the XBox one. I played the XBox version plus the two DLC episodes which were interesting and the second one sort of set the stage for a sequel (which will likely never happen - at least not in the way Remedy would envision it.
I bought something off Steam which was like an expansion or something, I'm not sure exactly. I think it was subtitled American Nightmare or something along those lines. I didn't get to play it though
American Nightmare is bad. I live in the hope that the original is better as it's meant to be much less action orientated.

Graphically, on the PC at least, the art style is masterful. It is realisitc, but has a dream-like quality to it, which underscores the games premise.

I was not expecting much at all , but it is an enjoyable shooter in the style of Half-Life 2/ Singularity.
I'm still playing it, fairly close to the end, except now I am playing it because it's fun, not just to get it finished.
I've opened up the full wheel of weapons. There is a level in the PA section of the game that is Halo 1 worthy (in terms of outside environments). Also a pretty disturbing change-up around midway.
WTF?
