10. inFamous - For all the crap I gave inFamous at the time it was first released, it was the only sandbox game I bothered to finish this year! Do I think it could have been better? Yeah. Still a great game though.

************************************
************************************
09. Little King's Story - Charm, depth, playability and one of the best soundtracks in a game ever! If it keeps me playing until the end, you KNOW it has to be good!

************************************
************************************
08. New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 2D, as fun as any other Mario Bros. game, and it features the Koopalings! You just have to love 'em! No seriously. I mean it! Say you love the Koopa Kids or I'll find you and hurt you!

************************************
************************************
07. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time - Humor, evolving weaponry, frantic action and gameplay as fun as ever; this is one series that will make my top-ten list every year it comes out!

************************************
************************************
06. Muramasa: The Demon Blade - Painfully gorgeous, classically playable... A 2D joy from start to finish! If you own a Wii and you don't play this game, you are doing something dreadfully wrong!

************************************
************************************
05. Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride - It's Dragon Quest. It has slimes. It has a casino. You can recruit monsters. If a game has all that and it makes me wish I had kids of my own, it's not just a top-ten game, it's a miracle-worker!

************************************
************************************
04. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor - After just discovering the Psychological Personality that ALL Shin Megami Tensei games are based on, it finally dawned on me why each and every one of these games is near and dear to me. Based on the works of one of my most admired figures in history, with an addictive gameplay system to boot, this game (series) can do no wrong!

************************************
************************************
03. Batman: Arkham Asylum - The BEST superhero game EVER crafted! Looks incredible, has one of the best group-fighting mechanics in any game, EVER... Superb voice-acting. So much going for it! I already cannot wait for the sequel! If it wasn't for the "ass"ets of the number 2 game on my list --AND-- the shoe-in for number 1, this game could have been tops!

************************************
************************************
02. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Play it for the action, LOVE it for Drake's ass! I'm sure you all feel the same way!

************************************
************************************
01. Street Fighter IV - Some games you just wait for all of your life. It turned out to be even better than I envisioned! Classic gameplay wrapped in next-gen visuals. I played this more than anything else this year; Yes, even online! I fully expect my top-ten for 2010 to have a very similarly titled game in IT'S top spot, maybe with a Super in front of it... This should come as NO SURPRISE to anyone!

I love these lists, great choices. See in the end after all the Red Faction talk you agreed with me, Infamous was the best of the early year sandbox games.

Ahhh yes... need to add Arkham Asylum to my growing list of reasons of how I can justify to my family that "daddy really needed a new console" conversation that's been going through my head lately.

Good list though.  Only reason DQV didn't end up on mine was that I'd pretty much played enough of the original already.  It still ended up in my 11 slot though.

I have batman still shrink wrapped. Euro/PAL guys watch Zavvi as their price goes up and down, snap it up like a low stock option.

Another list though. Is everyone going to have a thread? I can't even make a list. I have a bad memory for this sort of thing.

I guess the 355hrs spent on Animal Crossing over the past year makes it my number one.
