What gaming controller do you use with your PC? Do you like it? If not, what one are you considering buying?

Have you had an compaility issue with it?

After asking the same question here a few days ago ... I'm strongly considering (almost decided) getting a wired X360 controller for PC gaming.

I use the PS3 controller. I'd rather have something else because it was a massive pain to set up, and isn't much better to keep running, plus a different controller would be be better as far as pain is concerned as it would give my hands some variety.

360 controller looks like it'd be a good idea to try in that regard. Oh, and to get full compatability you have to trick the PC into thinking the PS3 controller is a 360 controller, so I'd just be using the real thing instead!

I use a Razor Lycosa Keyboard:

I use a Razor Imperator Mouse:

And when I want a normal controller, I use the Wired Xbox 360 Pad:

Honestly, I prefer the wired Xbox pad anyway. It does the EXACT same thing as the wireless pads, but its only $40, and has a much nicer feel to it thanks to the fact that it doesn't have the battery pack in the back weighing it down. And the fact that its completely plug & play on both PC and 360 is just awesome.

I use a PS3 controller emulating a 360 pad via MotionInJoy. No issues.

Filco TenkeylessRazer Naga Epic

Filco Tenkeyless keyboard and Razer Naga Epic.  I don't need your stinkin gamepad Nyaa.  If I were going to use one, it would be the PS3 controller simply because I already have one.

Maybe that'll be the ticket until I find where to get a wired 360 controller.  I am assuming you can't use a regular 360 controller without some sort of USB dongle?

Foolz, do you use MotionJoy like Steel or something different?

Yeah, all of my 360 controllers are wireless, and i need a dongle to make them work, so I just use the ps3 one with its usb cable. Setting Motioninjoy up can be a bit tricky but once you get it done it works flawlessly.

^Awesome, that is definately what I do.  Maybe I can find a used corded 360 controller at the local game store.

I am getting close to gettign my new PC. I've been given permission (I'm married, that how this works), but for whatever reason not acted on it yet.  I am reluctant to give up my old computer. Poor thing Sad

Around my house it says online that most stores only sell the wired 360 pad online only....like best buy. Yet, I go to best buy and there are 5 fuckin' wired 360 pads on the shelf. lol

I would just order one online Aspro, if you can't get it in a store.

If you're going to be a PC gamer, you should have no remorse for moving on to newer hardware. Upgrading is a constant in the PC gaming universe. Nyaa

Every computer we've ever had is still around; even the completely borked ones. Most still work, and a good number are still in use.

I just play with my PS3 controllers. I mostly use them for SNES emulators.

My wired 360 controller arrived finally.  If I wasn't so exhausted from work right now I'd probably plug it in.

Must. Sleep.

^I'm going with one of my current wireless 360 controllers and the dongle (it's only $15 or so).

Let me know how it works for you.
