NyxQuest is the best game on WiiWare, but it's 1000 points.

You probably should read Yoda's review on that game first.

Most of the good WiiWare games are 1000 points. I think the Bit.Trip games are at 800 and those are pretty good. Bit.Trip Runner and Bit.Trip Beat were both excellent.

I just went through my list of WiiWare games, since I have about 2 dozen.

  • Double check Lost Winds. I think it is 800 points. Definitely worth picking up, though it is a bit short (just under 3 hours in length).
  • As I said earlier check out the Bit.Trip games. They're all good and range between 600 and 800 points. Runner and Beat are the best though I've heard Fate is good as well.
  • The Magic Obelisk is a cute puzzle game.  Not amazing, but it's good and for 500 points it's one of the best values on WiiWare.
  • If you were a Final Fantasy fan you can get the first two chapters of Final Fantasy IV: the After Years for 800 points, though you'll be left without the rest of the story.

Anyway hope that helps.

Lost Winds 2 is the best game on Wiiware.

Also, Art of Balance is suprisingly good. It sounds boring but its very good, has a great UI, nice graphics. Its a game where you use the remote to balance shapes with a physics enging and try to stack everything without it toppling over.

Yeah it's cool stuff, very easy to play too so I turn it on whenever someone wants to play something without having to invest a lot into it, learning the controls and stuff. There seem to be a lot of levels and co-op play too. Shinen are pretty good when it comes to WiiWare games.

The only Wiiware games I have are the "rebirth" games from Konami. I have Castlevania, Contra, and Gradius. I really enjoy those and would recommend them to old-school fans. I think they're 1000 points each though. Of course as usual never has sales for these games.

I have Contra rebirth. It's okay but short and very much like the older titles. It's decent for 2 player but honestly I would reccomend Super Contra or the Genesis Hard Corps which I don't think is on the VC yet.
