**Leave your gushing, rambling blurbs here about the games you never thought you'd pay any attention to, that ended up pleasantly surprising you!**

If ANYONE has ANY interest in Rally Racing, you HAVE TO check out DiRT 2!

I was looking to try something different; something completely off of the beaten path I have trodden for myself as of late. I'm not a huge racing fan; as a matter of fact, usually, unless it's a completely UN-realistic racer, such as Mario Kart, BurnOut or Rollcage (for PSOne... GREAT game), I turn my nose up at it.

The only other Rally Racing games I have appreciated in the past were Sega Rally Championship for Saturn and World Rally Championship for PS2. I DON'T like sims (normally); I DO like jumping hills, catching air and powersliding.

I always glance over the reviews for off-roaders (didn't like Motorstorm), as I am always looking for something to replace Sega Rally or WRC. There was something about the reviews for DiRT that grabbed me. The music selection is absolutely fitting and appropriate. The interface is about the best you'll see in ANY game of this type. The cars all vary and drive very differently. There are a TON of modes, tracks, unlockables and real-life, professional personalities that contribute to the game. The graphics are the BEST I've seen in ANY RACER, EVER. Watching movies for the game, prior to purchasing it, I COULD NOT tell the difference between actual footage and the game!

It's just sooo polished, so well done, you just HAVE TO appreciate it for the care and detail that was put into it! It has production values every, single developer out there should strive for and has definitely raised the bar as to what will impress me in the future! It was obviously a labor of love for the developers and I feel the need to play it, if only to fully appreciate what they've done. It's a good thing it plays as solidly as it looks!

I can't compare it to anything else 'cause I've played so few racers; I just want to encourage anyone who has the slightest interest or who is looking for something to pass some time to rent it, borrow it, download a demo for it... Whatever...! Just CHECK. IT. OUT!

Dirt 2 is best played on Wii. Nyaa

I downloaded the Dirt 2 demo for 360 a few days ago, and the game kicks all kinds of ass. I'm definitely going to pick it up one of these days.

Call of Duty World at War.

Weird thing to say but I guess I didn't think WW2 games could possibly engage me in any way again. It did.

Call of Duty 2 - I was previously politically opposed to the depiction of any historical event for entertainment. CoD2 got me over that (though I still steer clear of Vietnam War games).

Untold Legends - PSP - I somehow became hopelessly addicted to this game. I usually hate forging armor / weapons, dungeon crawling, looting etc...
