What he said. I buy manga, and I like the style of the sample print, but I'd want to see some dialog before I bought it (just like when you are at the store and you flip through).

And publishing the first issue would probably be the best route to go as then people can read it and decide if they like it or not and that way you'd probably get MORE customers.
Edit:
And yeah, the other route might be to publish it all for free online and if it does become popular charge for hard copies (there are people that would be interested in buying them even if they can read it for free online) and also advertising. I mean it's going to be very hard for you to sell many copies without a publisher unless you're going to go on a marketing fest out of your own pocket, and even then, it'll be an unkown name. It might be different if you could peddle them on the street, though.
