I figured I would make a thread about this in case Vader, Bear, and some of you guys who are into football would like to chime in.

Personally, I find this shit hilarious...even if I wasn't a Patriots fan, this would be comical. But its also getting really annoying at this point, and to me seems like the Patriots are being set up by a bunch of people around the NFL who are jealous of them winning all the time. Because let's face it, though we haven't won a super bowl in 10 years, we're ALWAYS one of the top 3 teams in the league. #allwedoiswin

  • We have the best head coach
  • We have arguably the best Quarterback ever. Outside of not being able to run, he can do it all.
  • We have the best Tight End
  • We have the best Cornerback
  • We have the best field goal kicker

Haters gonna hate.

Here's a list of my problems with this whole deflated football shit, and why it all feels like a setup to me. Feel free to chime in.

  1. Suddenly as soon as the NFL realizes the Pats are going back to the Super Bowl, they find underinflated balls?
  2. They let the Pats play with said balls for the entire 1st half of the game, changed them at halftime? Why would you allow them to play with non regulation balls that long?
  3. After halftime, the Pats beat the shit out of the Colts 28 to ZERO. So obviously the ball pressure wasn't an advantage to the Pats. If anything, it was helping the Colts.
  4. The league took the balls in question to "investigate" them. I'm sorry, how easy would it be for someone to just let the air out of the balls while doing this?
  5. The league continues to have ZERO evidence on the Pats trying to gain an edge with ball inflation. Really...how are you supposed to find evidence on fucking air in a ball?
  6. Brady and Belichick both deny knowing ANYTHING about what happened, so if the league can't provide physical PROOF that the Pats did this, how can they be penalized?
  7. Other QB's, Aaron Rogers among them, from around the league have admitted with liking the ball to be BEYOND the league limit. So how can you penalize Brady and the Pats, but not these other guys who ADMIT it?!
  8. Numerous owners and GM's around the league have said they want to see the Pats HEAVILY penalized with loss of draft picks, and some have even said they shouldn't be allowed to play in the fucking super bowl. Gee, shocking. Jealous much?
  9. Of course they want draft picks taken away from the Pats...they don't want them to continue kicking their asses for another 15 years.
  10. Most players around the league think this is all just a big joke, and everyone agrees none of this has any impact on winning or losing.
  11. The media, who continue to hammer on this non stop...say its being blown out of proportion. NO SHIT...BY YOU! How can you say its no big deal and being blown out of proportion when you guys are the ones responsible for it being blown out of proportion?

Again, no evidence...and certain people around the league who's legacy's are on the line with another Patriots superbowl win, as well as GM's of competing teams, screaming for the Patriots to be penalized. How can you penalize someone without evidence? Its your word against theirs.

Also, as most agree, air pressure in a ball is no big deal, others have admitted to liking it over the league limit, and nobody seems to care or think it affects anything other than the quarterbacks comfort with the football. Ok...so again, why are the Pats being picked on? Right before the superbowl?

Because of a large chunk of people who don't want them to win another one for certain reasons!

Btw Seattle is winning the super bowl. They are just to good, but Brady will put up a big fight, better than last year. I am actually rooting for the pats, I like witnessing greatness and Brady winning four would be an exclamation to his amazing career. Also maybe he retires and finally another team can win the division!

This is hilarious, anyone who likes hearing someone talk about balls must listen.

It's from the best sports talk radio show, Dan lebatard. Just skip past the intro to a minute 20 and enjoy the sounds of Brady.

Nah, Seattle doesn't have it this year. They shouldn't have won the last game. They got that win by fluke, rather than any form of talent.  Plus you know Belechik has something dirty up his sleeve. I don't know what it is, but it'll be big. Something like a loophole in the play book that allows for summoning meteors.

On that note, why don't we have a new Meteos. That really should have been the new Tetris. Talk about dropping a ball.

I think its gonna be a very close game. Both teams are great, but I think the Pats defense has the ability to stop the Seahawks offense moreso than the Seahawks can stop the Pats. The game will be won on special teams.

I think Seattle had an insanely bad game and still by luck managed to win, they won't have a game like that again.

Yeah that last game was lost by the Packers...not won by the Seahawks. If the Patriots have a 19 to 7 lead with 3 minutes left, the game is over.

Maybe they should have Bill Nye test every football in the NFL for the right psi.

I still would love to know how anyone figured out the balls were 1 psi low in the first place.

Well now according to local sports channel NESN, the nfl has come back out and said only ONE of the balls were underinflated!

LMAO if true....how do you go from the ELEVEN that were announced almost instantly when this shit first broke, to now oh actually its only ONE? Just adds more fuel to the fire that this shit is all some kind of setup or something fishy is going on.
