You never played the game, only the port. And even if your PS3 never broke, you still would have not played ME2 in 2010 and still would have voted for SMG2 in the VG Press GoTY awards. The awards that are official. I rest my case.

Oops, it was hard to keep track of which games were which year. Normally I just look at what games I played last year, this rime I had to look at this year as well.

Game of the Year Awards for 2010
Last year PS3 issues prevented me from playing many of the biggest games of the year. Well since then I have played almost every major game I wanted to play from 2010. I feel like I am finally ready to write my 2010 GOTY winners. I still have no 360 so no exclusives will be included, though I dont think it would have changed much. This is very late so I will keep it simple.

Best Story: Red Dead Redemption, in terms of gaming storytelling this game is one of the best. Fantastic ending as well.

Best Music: Super Mario Galaxy 2, continues in the tradition of the first game with some of the most enjoyable music in gaming

Best New IP: Bayonetta, action gaming greatness, best since DMC

Best RPG: Mass Effect 2... this is no RPG, lol. Whatever it gets called that so I migh as well put it here.
Runner up Fallout New Vegas (which is a real RPG, fantastic game with too many glitches that keeps it from masterpiece status.)
Best Shooter: Mass Effect 2, more in line with what this game is.
Runner up Vanquish
Game of Year 2010
This game blew me away from start to finish. It uses one of my favorite genres, sci-fi, mixes it with what I love to do most in gaming, action, and has an incredible story with amazing characters and lasts like 50 hours. It retains the most basic of RPG elements, in my opinion the only ones that count. At its heart its mostly a shooter and its a damn good one at that. But when you mix in all the other elements into a great shooter you get a masterpiece. Its the kind of genre mash up I have been dreaming of.
Runner up Super Mario Galaxy 2, so amazing, so memorable and one of the best games this gen. This does not lose easily, it is a very close call but I played a game just like this two years ago.
