Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling is one I have to write a review for soon.
Torneko: The Last Hope - a good rougelike made by Chunsoft, the company that more or less perfected the console roguelike dungeon crawler. This one features the merchant from Dragon Quest 4, Torneko/Taloon. It's a good piece of fan service, but even if you're unfamiliar with his backstory the game does more than enough to introduce everything you need to know. If this kind of game appeals to you, it'll draw you in pretty quickly.
The Jade Cocoon might be worth revisiting. It was basically Pokemon targeting a slightly older audience. It was fun, but after looking at some of the screenshots of it, like many PS1 games, the graphics have aged like mayonnaise.
You bought a what now? a PS1? Looks like a knockoff N64 with worse graphics. Must be a pretty niche thing.

PS1 and N64 are nothing more than knockoffs of the glorious Sega Saturn!

I won't recommend Azure Dreams but I like it. Monster Rancher 2 too. But I won't recommend that either. Suikoden? No, maybe not. I'd recommend Klonoa, but that's it. RPGs are too long.

I also thought about recommending Azure Dreams and then thought a bit better of it. I loved that game at the time, but the translation was pretty bad even by 1997 standards, and I suspect there's a lot of other elements that haven't aged real well.

I've been wanting to replay it for years, so I'll have to see how it goes. Last time I played it must have been 2008 or 2009. I remember liking the town building aspect and the characters. I don't remember much about the quality of the translation, so that'll be interesting.

This was great. I was unsure why the suburb of Brunswick was so significant in the world of bowling, which gave the game a mysterious charm.
My recommendation is Roll Away.

If you give it another go, the comedy sequence of the theater is just completely bizarre. It barely makes any sense. I suppose in that regard it's actually kind of funny.

I've seen enough Japanese comedy to wonder if it's intentional. I will look out for it.

I have a big collection, but looking at the shelf, I am compelled to play about 20 of them.
Now that I am looking to ... expand the library... I wonder what gems I have missed out on.
