Travo, Oni king is about 5-7 hrs in. The game really opens up, you will be suprised at the size and scale of this game. It eases you in gently like an old man into a bath.

Foolz, the chickens are pains until you get gourmet chefs which one hit kill them.

I've got to go easy.  I lost five men in a couple of days.  I didn't see a funeral for them though.

Then they probably didn't perma-die.

It announces it on the morning news when one of your citizens dies for good.

They probably washed ashore and are part of your town again.

Oh, that's nice.   I currently have thirty four citizens in my kingdom.

The strength of the chicken wasn't the problem at all, it was that several of my soldier were defenceless because they'd fucked off well off screen due to their stupidity! -_-

Is there a second Onii king? I got up to him in 2-3 hours I think!

Just defeated the Onni King.  I lost a few dudes.  I'll need to check out an online guide to maximize my men.

Cool.  I haven't found any men washed up on the beach yet, but seven guys did magically appear when I saved.  Who do you use to kill the poison mushroom?  Archers?

I remember fighting a mushroom but not a poisen one. I think I just lobbed guys at him then recalled when he was about to attack.

God that scarecrow is fucking annoying. it's a bigger pain in the arse than most of the bosses. :X :X

Those frogs are annoying too, but that's more due to the surprise factor and instant kills.

Scarecrow is easy once you know how. He rotates around so just sneak up on him and bum rush him. Once he is dead all the watermelon who attack you will disappear.

I guess I'll use less men on the mushroom to allow more control.  Is that the scarecrow at the dead end, after the first sauna?

True, but it can still  be pretty annoying due to the melons themselves. You've got to walk through htem, then get close enough so that you don't throw your people into them instead of him! Grr.

Or you can use a bunch of archers and divide and conquer.

Put some on one side, some on the other... He won't know who to attack first while they quickly whittle away his life!

I was finally able to buy the Shopping Arcade today after saving money for three days.  I love how everything slowly opens up to you.  I'm finding new paths and wondering if they were there the whole time.

Just press Z and use the targeting line. Use all solidiers and hobo jump him. It wont take long and then there is a sauna nearby to heal.

The targeting line can't send people through watermelons unfortunately.

Time to conquer the next kingdom. I tried killing the alco and was doing pretty well then he slaughtered me! Hmm, shouldn't be too, hard, though.
