As much as I like the Saturn the libraries just don't compare.

I'll say this for the Dreamcast, it was the last console that made me go "whoah" when I looked at its graphics. First time saw Sonic Adventure at a kiosk I was shocked at how good it looked.

Nope, had both. Dreamcast was clearly superior.

That part is true, though. Loved the Saturn. I even had over 50 games for it at one point.

If any of you have a specific time you'd like me to take the Hot Tub Time Machine to I'm more than happy to pull out that month's EGM and tell you what was going on back then.

My favourite DC memories are Headhunter, it's better than MGS 1 if you ask me. And of course, the two shenmue games, the sequel especially was incredible.

Okidoki.

June 2003.

Cover: Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike "The most amazing Star Wars game yet!"

Game of the Month: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.  Also reviewed, Marvel vs. Capcom 2(XB), Midnight Club 2, Lost Kingdoms 2, Splinter Cell (GC), Magic Pengel (PS2), Sonic Adventure DX (GC), Burnout 2, .hack, Part 2, Auto Modelista, Wario Ware Inc: Mega Microgame$.

Cardboard insert from retailer Target with Pro Tips.

An article describing what PDA's are, including the Dell Axim Pocket PC which costs $350.

"GameCube's future in terms of online is completely undefined as is the PS2's.  It's right on the edge now, and if Sony doesn't do something quick, I think online will fall off completely.  The only platform really for online right now is Xbox" - Julian Eggebrecht, president of Factor 5.

An ... interview... with the lizard from Brute Force. Yes. A whole page.

Speculation: 100: The number of Pentium 4 chips it would take to equal the reported processing power of [the] Playstation 3.

Inteview with Aonuma about Wind Waker.  Will the next Zelda use the same cartoon art style? Well, WW only features Link as a child. If we were to make a Zelda game where Link appears as an adult again, we'd probably have to rethink the graphical style.

November 1991. There are some holes though, so I can't vouch the Hot Tub Time Machine works for every month.

November 1991: (250 pages)

What was cool? The cover:

"The ultimate 16-bt sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 3"

"Exclusive look at first SEGA CD-Rom system and Games"

Games reviewed: Toejam and Earl (6,8,7,Cool, El Viento, Vapor Trail, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego (NES), Ninja Gaiden 3, Batman 2, GI Joe 2, Battletoads (GB), Wanderers from Y's (TurboGrafx CD).

An ad for the Atari Lynx ($99).

This is before computer layouts and art, so there are many ads that look like this:

Picture of Thor Aackerlund the Nintendo World Champion.

Game Genie ads.

The magazine is a pile of shit.  It's unreadable.  But it is very colorful.
