Gaming costs money and is a huge time investment.

How has it affected you?

Most games don't make it past rental status with me, so they neither cost a lot of time or money.

Doom, though, defines my life completely. Everything I've done has had something to do with Doom in some form. I would give my life, and the lives of whole ethnicities, for Doom.

Also, Karen from Harvest Moon 64 is my only true love.

Money is not so much of an issue nowadays for me. Time is. The only thing preventing me from ramping up my gaming purchases is that even at my current rate I have no way of finishing the games I already own.

games is what i mostly do when i have work pressing to be done which i don't want to do.  they are an outlet for my procrastination and the perfect way to waste my time when i should be doing work.  of course i understand perfectly well it's my fault and not the games to blame

... but, damn you Demon Souls and your stupid world tendency event *shakes fist*

Sorry to be the one to tell you this but.... she get's around.

Gaming has had no negative influence on my life, quite the opposite.  I'd be a better person if I gamed more.

Yes. It takes away time that could be used for wanking, which would be a far cheaper and more satisfying activity than video gaming if it weren't for the eventual soreness. Sad

Not that I can think of, except if it wasn't for them I never would've met Steel and GG.

Okay, games greatly adversely affected my life. Sad

Money is an issue and so is time. But it's not too bad since I'm still able to pick up the games I want, minus consoles or PC games.

I just always keep it as a hobby and nothing more. I try to not get obsessed over individual games and play them casually as a hardcore gamer, if that makes sense.

Sometimes my priorities get messed up like say I have to do something but I keep wanting to play one more level or get another acheivement etc.

But I think for the most part, I've kept my life balanced and kept everything in moderation. And yes, I do have a lot of games I haven't passed, but that's part of the fun of it. Getting new games is satisfying and brings some joy to my somewhat boring life.
