I do quite frequently. Not really sure why it happens either. For instance, durning November and December 2011, I was really into gaming. I bought a PS3 and a bunch of games, and had a lot of fun playing them over the Holidays. My plan was to finish every game I bought. Instead, January hit, and I lost all interest in playing. Sure, I tried to play a game here and there, but nothing held my interest for more than a few mintues. I'm certain I'll get back into playing again, but at the moment, I'm just not feeling it.

Has this happened to you?

Yep, usually around this time when work is crazy and I get pretty stressed.  Take this week, for example, I had no desire to play, but only to crawl into bed.

Everybody goes through this...and its not just gaming. Anything you do way too often in life is bound to get mundane and uninteresting after awhile. So you give it a break, then come back to it fresh. That's why its good to have a variety of things you like to spend time doing....keeps things fun.

It used to happen a lot more, but over the last few years not so much. I think it has do with me now bfing more goal oriented with defeating games.

If it wasn't for review copies I would probably only play Killzone when a friend does (sparingly) and nothing else.

Yeah I don't find myself playing much. I play 3DS cause its easier, you can play in short bursts, play anywhere you want, including bed or the toilet. Otherwise I can't be bothered with anything else.

I'm currently prepping for an art show in Mid-March, matting work, preparing labels, figuring out the logistics of hanging the work.   I'm also trying to fire clay pieces in the kiln, but have been told there are restrictions to using it by one of my principals, so I'm trying to figure out time to fire these pieces, all 200 of them.  This means staying an extra four to five hours to "babysit" the kiln because someone has to be in the building while it's on.  Let's ignore the fact that that is not what a kiln is designed for.

I'm also allowed a 50 minute planning time, which sounds wonderful, but most days, I spend that time driving from one school to another, eating lunch, then whatever time is left, I can use to plan. "Planning" time is a joke.  I could stay after school to plan, but family obligations make that difficult to do for very long.  I usually end up taking some work home with me or ignoring it. The school that I'm at in the afternoon is heaven, the one in the morning?  I'm just fed up with that one, crazy schedules that change on a dime, teachers/coworkers who don't give a shit, and most importantly, students who don't give a shit.  I salso have I was forced to move to that school a year ago when the former teacher left.  The difference between the two schools is night and day.

That previous paragraph is everyday, I'm used to that...somewhat.  It's the other things on top of that that make things pretty stressful at times.

Yeah I went through a case of it during the end of last year. Once September rolled around I pretty much lost interest in gaming. Really bad timing because Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 came out right around then. I still played it and liked it well enough, but I didn't have nearly as much fun with it as I should have. And it pretty much lingered until the middle of December.

That's why it's important to have other hobbies... like drinking.

I think my girlfriend has relationship apathy.
