It's chaos.

And locked in a cabin like RE4?

What is with the disgusting depth of field BS they are now using on the main character? It's all over Leons video too when you aim and shoot.

Looks horrible.

I'm becoming highly suspicious of Rayman Legends.  I'm thinking it may secretly be one of those annoying arty games we hear about.

It was just a silly joke, poking a bit of fun following the discussion from a few days ago about how arty games should either be displayed in museums or judged as harshly as the rest of the (non arty) games.

I just meant, the game looks great to me.  That's all Happy

Non-art games are judged harshly? Certainly not by critics.

Well most are judged by the merit of their gameplay, unlike the artsy games.

They're really not. See Yoda's production value bias theory*. Hell, just look at Arkham Asylum. Even if if we say the combat is good, the level design still sucks balls. In fact for a more relevant (and less controversial around here) example, just look at Alan Wake and American Nightmare.

*Actually, that's a poor description of it, so my apologies in advance, Yoda.

My point - made previously - was simply that all games have art which can be either good or bad, unique, thought provoking or indifferent, one of the same and run of the mill.  Labeling and pegion-holing certain games as "arty" is just stupid and lazy games journalism and possibly a marketing ploy.

The reality is that categorization is inevitable in this hobby though. We need terminological short-cuts and sometimes "artsy" is an appropriate label (as appropriate as similarly dumb adjectives as "dudebro" for a game as masterful as Bulletstorm).

A game in which many reviewers paid less attention to gameplay than presentation. WinkWink
