Both you and Yoda forgot to add prices and reasoning behind the purchases. If there was any.
I just got Machinarium for 2.99 on the Steam sale. Been interested in it for a while, loved the demo. But I missed its past deal. So now I got it.

FUCKING AWESOME. Two really great games (well 8.5ish games). Oh man, I can't wait to talk to you/ listen to your comments on these.

No More Heroes 2 - 19.99, had a giftcard.
Little King's Story - 9.99, below the guilt threshold.

My most recent purchase was a DSi XL along with Dragon Quest IX. I can't really say if anything outside of personal preference made pick up this purchase as I've always enjoyed the DQ games so getting IX was just a matter of time. Oh yeah the DSi XL was $179 as it was the Mario 25th edition with Mario Kart DS packed in and DQIX was $35.
Can you choose to play DS games in letterbox native resolution or does the DSi XL just auto stretch the pixels out?

Hmm you know what I'm not sure now. If so I don't think it's an option that's on the system itself. It might be something that can be done in the game's option/settings. Of course it would only be something available for games that the developers knew of the DSi XL's design before hand. From what I've seen so far though I greatly prefer the larger screens at the expense of the pixelation that I have noticed.
Add a couple more:
- King's Bounty Platinum (it has KB: The Legend, Armored Princess and Crossworlds) for $8.74 on the Steam sale. I already own the Legend, but the two expansions make this deal worth double dipping. Pretty cool turn based strat games.
- Sim City 4 Deluxe for $4.99. Steam sale. I played and loved SC3K back in the day, and had been looking for a good deal on the fourth game. The pack has SC4 and Rush Hour so it was a no brainer.

Ah man, what a great deal on King's Bounty! I want it too.
Sim City 4 Deluxe is great! But I still can't get a thriving metropolis going for the life of me! Maybe it's the way I manage money and taxes or that I have no patience when I build a city. I go bankrupt real quickly!
But the game is fantastic.

I'd be interested in what you think about SC4. I never got into it as much as 3000. It's kind of soul-less to me.

At first I thought you were talking about SoulCalibur!
Anyway Sim City 4 is great because everything is in 3D. It's by far the best in the series. I only played the SNES version and 3000 but SC4 feels like the culmination of the entire series. There's some crazy things you can build in Sim City 4 that you can't do in the past series. Basically, the city you build has the most realistic feel to it, mostly because the graphics really add to the tone of the game.
But it's a Sim City game so the experience will be similar to 3000. It's relaxing to play for me and it's also a game I can play while I work at my desk, which is why I enjoy it so much.
The graphics and animation does add more life to the series than passed games, but at the end, it is still a Sim City game. I'd say get it for $5 if you can. That's nothing! It's like getting it for free!

contect 7$

Contact may have been one of the more disappointing games I've played. It was made by developers I respect and put out by publishers I trust. It was promoted as having one of those quirky stories taht I typically enjoy. But the game itself was just a chore to play. Ultimately I gave up on it because it was too damned dull.
Haven't played it yet, so I don't want to be a troll -- I'm just GTA'd out. I at least want to beat Lost and Damned and San Andreas before I get RDR.
