So, I'm thinking that this game revolves around the classic Disney characters from the earlier 1900s coming back with a vengeance. That's what this piece of concept art seems to be pointing at. I can see the in-game art style looking a lot more like this picture, and less like the steampunk designs seen in other shots. I think Disney would have an easier time approving this sort of thing.
Hi K man
I just posted the update in GGWeekly, the game revolves around using the brush to paint the gameworld like Okami.
We've since been told that it's a Wii-exclusive where you paint your way through levels using the Wii Remote. This 'painting your way' involves you drawing, etching and erasing whole or parts of levels as you go. Capcom's Okami immediately springs to mind but we've not got enough info to go on to make any kind of informed judgement.
As for the story, we've also been told that it'll be based around very old and/or forgotten Disney characters who are out to get their revenge on Mickey, presumably because they're jealous of all his fame and fortune. We Googled 'early Disney characters' and found that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit returned a lot of hits. A bit before even CVG's time all that though.
So not much to go on. We've contacted Disney about the extra info but don't really expect any confirmation as the game's still unannounced. But looking at the concept art, we're quietly excited already
Ksmoove that artwork is out of this world, I prefer it as it has just that little bit of cheery disney in it and isn't so dark to put the kiddies off.

If true, so much for Gaf's reation that it should have been on the PS3/360. And no they are not likely to make a Natal version or PSmote. Who know's how much they will sell. Wiimote is standard!

To be fair, though, that thread now holds the record of more people banned in a long time, (27 or something), because of people complaining about the platform instead of the game.

Which I found retarded, because people were drawing conclusion from leaked concept art. For all we know the real game might be totally different. And saying that it would be better on the HD-consoles, while having zero information about the game itself is also stupid.
As far as I am concerned this game does not exist until we have an official confirmation. They have been way too many BS stories lately.
P.S. this paintbrush talk reminds me of Max and the Magic Marker and Kirby's Canvas Curse. Prays to Don Frye for a 2D platformer!

Don Frye is a false diety. Don Frye's mustache on the other hand is the one true path.

Wise words. Don Frye's moustache has truly enlightened your way.

I have seen the light.

I agree. Cel-shading is the way to go for this game.
But Monster Hunter 3 is looking mighty fine!

Exactly. MH3 looks as good as Overlord Dark Legend except it has levels 5 times as big and a steady frame rate to boot. Games dont have to be cel shaded on Wii to look good, you just need developers to make the commitment to doing good visuals.
None of these games are cel shaded. Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy look mighty fine too. You can't cel shade every freaking wii game. I dont want a cel shaded Metroid Prime 4 thanks.
It makes sense for Mickey but not for every game to be cel-shaded.

If someone had told you that the next Red Steel was going to be cel shaded you would have balked. Look at the game now. I think it's all a matter of aesthetic focus.

Tsk, tsk, noob! I was talking about the mustache. The mustache's name is Don Frye. The person behind Don Frye is Tom Selleck.
So in conclusion
moustache = Don Frye
meatbag = Tom Selleck
